    • Productive in high-scoring victory
Cameron went 2-for-5 with a two-run double and a stolen base in a win over Atlanta on Saturday.

Advice: Cameron opened the scoring on what would be a prolific afternoon for both teams with a first-inning double that plated Shea Langeliers and Miguel Andujar. Cameron would go on to record his first steal of the season as well, and the two-hit day snapped a 1-for-11 funk that had encompassed his previous three games. The 27-year-old boosted his average 50 points to .238 with his second multi-hit tally of the campaign, and the double served as his first extra-base hit since he'd homered in his season debut May 23. • Perfect at plate in win
Schuemann went 4-for-4 with an RBI single, a double and three runs in a win over Atlanta on Saturday.

Advice: The rookie shortstop was a thorn in the side of Atlanta pitching all night, putting together a stellar night out of the bottom of the order. Schuemann gave his average a 28-point boost to .266 with the multi-hit effort, his third in the last eight contests. He's also scored at least one run in five consecutive games, and his prolific performance Saturday also included his first game over the last eight without a strikeout. • Hits fifth homer
Raley went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run and a walk against the Angels in Saturday's 9-0 victory.

Advice: Raley built Seattle's lead to six runs with his solo shot in the sixth inning. He recently dealt with a lat injury, but the issue turned out to be minor, as Raley has started each of the Mariners' past two games. He's struggled of late, however, going 3-for-26 over his past nine contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:56 pm

    • Hits homer in loss
Schmitt went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Schmitt got the Giants on the board in the third inning. This was his first game since his recall Friday and his seventh contest of the season. He's gone 5-for-26 (.192) with two extra-base hits and three RBI. Schmitt will be an option at shortstop primarily, but he also has experience at second and third, so he may settle into a utility role while in the majors. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:45 pm

    • Hits first homer of season
Abreu went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-2 win against the Twins.

Advice: Abreu took Minnesota starter Joe Ryan deep in the second inning for his first long ball of the campaign. It's been a rough season for the veteran first baseman, as he's slashing a meager .119/.167/.167 through 90 plate appearances. Abreu has been a bit better since returning to the big club May 27 following a demotion to the minors, going 3-for-13 (albeit with six strikeouts) over five games. • Should have regular role
Mendick went 2-for-4 with a stolen base Saturday against the Brewers.

Advice: Mendick is expected to have a regular role in the White Sox's lineup after Bryan Ramos was sent to Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday. However, Mendick started at second base Saturday and notched his sixth multi-hit appearance of the season as well as his second stolen base. He is unlikely to hit for much average thanks to a 29.3 percent strikeout rate, though he could be an okay source of homers and steals in deeper formats so long as he keeps consistent playing time. • Throws 30 pitches
Marquez (elbow) threw a bullpen session of between 30 and 35 pitches Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Marquez threw primarily fastballs but also mixed in some breaking balls. He'll now head to Arizona and is expected to appear in several Arizona Complex League contests before embarking on a more formal rehab assignment. Marquez remains on course to return just before the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:27 pm
    • Aiming for late June return
Freeland (elbow) threw a bullpen session Saturday and is scheduled to throw a live batting practice session Tuesday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Freeland simulated the pace of a game, adhering to the pitch clock and between-inning breaks. Manager Bud Black also spoke to the media and suggested that Freeland is a minimum of three weeks away from being activated from the injured list. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:20 pm

    • Picks up steal in loss
Blanco went 0-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Padres.

Advice: Blanco briefly looked to be claiming a larger role in mid-May, but he's since returned to his usual status as a fourth outfielder. His steal Saturday was his first since May 13, giving him 12 thefts on the year. He's added a decent .255/.323/.364 slash line with one home run, four RBI, 15 runs scored and three doubles over 63 plate appearances. Blanco's last two starts have come against right-handed pitchers, but it appears that's more to give Kyle Isbel regular rest than it is a sign of Blanco earning a larger role.
