• Dominant in first win
Voth (1-0) got the win over Atlanta on Monday, allowing a hit and striking out the side over one inning.

Advice: Asked to keep the Mariners' deficit at one run when he entered in the ninth, Voth got matters off on the wrong foot by allowing a leadoff single to Jarred Kelenic. Subsequently faced with the daunting gauntlet of Ronald Acuna, Ozzie Albies and Austin Riley, Voth cranked it up several notches by striking out all three sluggers, the latter two swinging. He was then rewarded with the victory after Mitch Garver slugged a walk-off two-run home run in the home half of the frame, putting a a fitting cap on Voth's fourth straight appearance without allowing an earned run. The veteran right-hander does not yet have a hold or save, but he's now carrying an impressive 2.84 ERA and 1.03 WHIP across 12.2 innings. Rotowire.com 8 minutes ago

  • Twins send Josh Winder on rehab assignment
Twins sent RHP Josh Winder (shoulder) on a rehab assignment to Single-A Fort Myers.

Advice: Winder is slowly ramping up to get back to the majors after he landed on the 60-day injured list prior to the regular season with a shoulder injury. He’ll start for Fort Myers on Tuesday, but he’ll need several more starts in the minors before he’s 100%. Last season, the 27-year-old hurler posted a 4.15 ERA, 1.41 WHIP with a 28/14 K/BB ratio in 19 appearances for Minnesota. He hasn’t made a start in the big leagues since 2022. • Starting rehab assignment
Winder (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Low-A Fort Myers on Tuesday, team broadcaster John Vittas reports.

Advice: Winder is on the Twins' 60-day injured list due to a scapular stress fracture in his right shoulder which he suffered late last season. He will be eligible for activation in late May but would not appear to be a given to be added to the major-league roster once he's deemed ready. Rotowire.com Today, 8:05 am

  • Collects second career save
Pearson gave up two hits and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Monday to record his first save of the season in a win over the Royals.

Advice: With Jordan Romano and Yimi Garcia having pitched each of the prior two days, and Erik Swanson getting deployed in the eighth inning Monday, closing duties fell to Pearson and he handled them well en route to his second career save. The 27-year-old right-hander fired 11 of 16 pitches for strikes, and his fastball reached 100 mph as he struck out Michael Massey to end the game. Pearson has been scored upon only once in 11 big-league appearances this season, and while his control has wavered at times, he sports a 1.80 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 12:6 K:BB through 10 innings. The Blue Jays have a deep bullpen, but Pearson is making a case to at least be a part-time member of the high-leverage crew. Rotowire.com Today, 6:33 am
  • Nabs win Monday
Cabrera (1-0) was credited with the win Monday against the Royals, allowing one hit and striking out two in a scoreless 1.1 innings of relief.

Advice: The southpaw entered the game in the fourth inning with two on and two out to protect a 4-3 lead, and he got Vinnie Pasquantino to ground out before dispatching Kansas City without too much trouble in the fifth. That was enough to get him named the winning pitcher by the official scorer. Cabrera had a bumpy beginning to the season, but over his last seven appearances he's posted a 2.57 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 6:2 K:BB through seven innings. Rotowire.com Today, 6:27 am
  • Gets back on track
Crochet didn't factor into the decision Monday, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk across five innings against the Twins. He struck out seven.

Advice: After surrendering five or more runs in three straight starts, Crochet snapped out of the funk and only allowed the Twins to score on a two-run homer by Carlos Santana in the second frame. Crochet also had strong command, walking just one batter after yielding seven walks and two hit-by-pitches in his last three outings. Although Crochet has been inconsistent to kick off 2024, his strikeout stuff has been elite, boasting the second most K's in baseball. He's lined up for a Saturday start against the Cardinals. • Lands another save
Thielbar earned the save Monday against the White Sox, allowing one hit and one walk with two strikeouts over a scoreless inning.

Advice: Theilbar followed both Griffin Jax and Brock Stewart for his second save in as many appearances. However, with Jhoan Duran (oblique) expected to be activated Tuesday after an IL stint, Thielbar will likely return to a middle relief role. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:30 pm
  • Carlos Estévez gives up run, earns save anyway
Carlos Estévez got a save despite allowing a run in the ninth Monday against the Phillies.

Advice: Estévez gave up a single, a double and a sac fly before finishing off the Phillies tonight. His stuff is worse than it was last year, and we wouldn’t expect much help in ERA and WHIP here. Still, with Robert Stephenson down for the year and José Soriano in the rotation, his closing gig is very secure. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:21 pm
  • Avoids blown save
Estevez allowed a run on two hits in one inning Monday. He struck out one batter and earned a save over the Phillies.

Advice: Estevez entered a 6-4 game and found himself in a jam with two on and one out. He gave up one run but still preserved the 6-5 victory. Estevez has converted five of his six save chances this season but has coughed up three runs in his last three appearances. Before that, he had a five-inning scoreless streak to open the 2024 campaign. Estevez owns a 3.38 ERA with a perfect 8:0 K:BB through eight innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:41 pm
