• Candelario has two-hit game in loss Saturday
Jeimer Candelario went 2-for-5 with an RBI against the Cubs on Saturday.

Advice: It was a relatively quiet night for the Reds offense. Despite scoring five runs, four of them were unearned thanks to an error by Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki. Candelario chipped in later with an RBI single. After hitting .189 in April, he hit .247 with three home runs in 24 games in May. Candelario has had a wRC+ of at least 117 in two of the previous three seasons. Look for him to get hot with the bat again soon. Rotoworld 45 minutes ago

  • Hits homer in loss
Schmitt went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Schmitt got the Giants on the board in the third inning. This was his first game since his recall Friday and his seventh contest of the season. He's gone 5-for-26 (.192) with two extra-base hits and three RBI. Schmitt will be an option at shortstop primarily, but he also has experience at second and third, so he may settle into a utility role while in the majors. Rotowire.com 45 minutes ago

  • Should have regular role
Mendick went 2-for-4 with a stolen base Saturday against the Brewers.

Advice: Mendick is expected to have a regular role in the White Sox's lineup after Bryan Ramos was sent to Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday. However, Mendick started at second base Saturday and notched his sixth multi-hit appearance of the season as well as his second stolen base. He is unlikely to hit for much average thanks to a 29.3 percent strikeout rate, though he could be an okay source of homers and steals in deeper formats so long as he keeps consistent playing time. • Homers in loss
Vientos went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in a 10-5 loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: Vientos hit a solo homer off Slade Cecconi in the fifth inning then singled and scored a run in the ninth. After posting three hits on Friday, Vientos followed it up with another multi-hit effort that included his third home run in his past eight games. With Brett Baty being optioned to Triple-A Syracuse, it appears Vientos will have a chance to stake his claim at third base for the Mets. On the season, Vientos now has 10 home runs and 39 RBI in 190 plate appearances between Triple-A and the majors. Rotowire.com Today, 8:29 pm

Matt Vierling went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored against the Red Sox on Saturday.

  • Ke’Bryan Hayes belts two-run homer in victory
Ke’Bryan Hayes went 2-for-4 and belted a two-run homer on Saturday, powering the Pirates to a lopsided 8-1 victory over the Blue Jays in Toronto.

Advice: Hayes put the exclamation point on a three-run first inning for the Pirates with his 404-foot (107.8 mph EV) two-run blast off of Yusei Kikuchi. That would be more than enough run support for Mitch Keller and company in this one. Hayes also led off the sixth inning with a single and scored on a fielder’s choice off the bat of Jared Triolo. For the season, the 27-year-old third baseman is now slashing .245/.323/.338 with a pair of homers and 14 RBI. Rotoworld Today, 3:08 pm

  • Sitting again Saturday
Busch isn't in the Cubs' lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Busch is 4-for-13 with a homer, three RBI and two runs scored in his last six games, but he is likely to see a dip in playing time, as Pete Crow-Armstrong's arrival will force Cody Bellinger to start at first base more often. Rotowire.com Today, 2:07 pm
