    • Homers, drives in three in loss
Ramos went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in a 4-3 loss to the Angels on Saturday.

Advice: Ramos did all the damage for the Giants on Saturday, hitting a two-run home run off Patrick Sandoval in the first inning and adding an RBI double in the fifth. He later doubled again in the seventh. Ramos has been absolutely raking in June, hitting .392 with six home runs, 17 RBI and eight multi-hit games. He has been one of this season's best early surprises, hitting .325 with 8 home runs and 30 RBI in 126 at-bats. Rotowire.com Today, 7:14 pm

    • Brandon Nimmo has two hits, two RBI in win
Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI in a win over the Padres.

Advice: Nimmo got the scoring going with an RBI double in the fourth inning and then tacked on an extra run with an RBI single in the eighth. It’s been a tough year for the 31-year-old, but he has two hits in each of the two games against the Padres, so perhaps he can turn it into a much better summer. Rotoworld Today, 6:36 pm

    • Swats seventh homer
Happ went 2-for-3 with a walk and a three-run home run in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: The 29-year-old outfielder took John King deep in the seventh inning, Happ's first homer in June. The performance snapped a 1-for-24 slump over his prior seven games, and on the season he's slashing .218/.328/.376 over 65 contests with seven homers, five steals, 32 runs and 33 RBI. • Chas McCormick hits HR in loss to Tigers
Chas McCormick went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in a loss to the Tigers on Saturday.

Advice: McCormick didn’t start this game, but all five Astros’ runs were driven in by players who were on the bench for the first pitch. The home run was McCormick’s first of the season but was a no-doubted, hit 428 feet at 106.5 mph. He’s battled through injuries this year and is hitting just .209 on the season, but Jake Meyers has also started to struggle, so there is a chance that McCormick could push for more playing time if he can start swinging the bat well. Davis was placed on the seven-day concussion injured list Saturday.

Advice: Davis was removed from Friday's game against the Rockies with concussion-like symptoms and will be put on the seven-day concussion list. Jason Delay was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis in a corresponding move and should be expected to mix in with Yasmani Grandal behind the dish. Rotowire.com Today, 4:47 pm

    • Pirates place Henry Davis on 7-day concussion IL
Pirates placed C/OF Henry Davis on the 7-day concussion injured list.

Advice: The 24-year-old slugger suffered the injury during Friday night’s contest against the Rockies. Even after the mandatory seven days on the injured list, he’ll still need to pass through the concussion protocol before he’s able to return. Jason Delay was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis in a corresponding move on Saturday. Rotoworld Today, 4:42 pm

    • Alek Thomas moving rehab to Triple-A on Monday
Alek Thomas (hamstring) will have his minor league rehab assignment shifted to Triple-A Reno on Monday.

Advice: The 24-year-old outfielder has been playing games in the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League over the weekend, so he’ll step up the competition level for a few games at Triple-A before he’s cleared to return to the Diamondbacks’ outfield. If all goes according to plan, he should return before the end of next week. Rotoworld Today, 4:33 pm

    • Jake Cave (head) returns to action on Saturday
Jake Cave (head) returned to the Rockies’ starting lineup on Saturday.

Advice: Cave was scratched from Friday night’s lineup after he was hit in the head by a line drive during batting practice. Fortunately, he sustained just a minor cut to his forehead and is able to return to action the following evening. The 31-year-old outfielder will bat seventh against Jared Jones and the Pirates on Saturday night. Rotoworld Today, 4:27 pm

Goodman will catch and bat eighth Saturday against Pittsburgh.

Advice: Goodman will draw the start behind the plate Saturday, a role he's expected to split with Jacob Stallings for the duration of Elias Diaz's (calf) absence. Goodman is slashing .156/.206/.313 with two home runs in 68 plate appearances this seaosn. Rotowire.com Today, 4:24 pm
