    • On bench Saturday
Turner is out of the lineup Saturday versus the Pirates.

Advice: Turner will head to the bench after he went 2-for-11 with a double, two RBI, four walks and two strikeouts while starting the team's last three contests. Daniel Vogelbach will replace him at designated hitter and bat fifth against Pittsburgh. Rotowire.com Today, 11:08 am

    • Fans six in fifth win
Houck (5-5) picked up the win Friday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks over seven innings in a 7-3 victory over the Tigers. He struck out six.

Advice: The 27-year-old right-hander generated 30 called or swinging strikes among his 95 pitches as he delivered his third straight quality start and 10th in 12 trips to the mound this season. Houck is having a breakout campaign, and he'll take a 1.85 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 75:15 K:BB through 78 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next week against the White Sox. • Swipes first bag of 2024
Hayes went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 5-3 extra-innings loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: The steal was his first of the year, after he'd swiped 30 over the prior two seasons combined. Hayes missed most of May with back trouble, which could help explain his lack of activity on the basepaths, and Friday's single was his first hit of any kind since May 5. The third baseman has a disappointing .237/.318/.311 slash line through 36 games with one homer and 12 RBI, but if he can stay healthy he's capable of heating up over the summer. • Jackson Holliday tallies two hits on Friday at AAA
Orioles 2B/SS prospect Jackson Holliday went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI on Friday for Triple-A Norfolk.

Advice: Holliday is one of the few top fantasy prospects still healthy in the upper minors at the moment and he’s clearly benefitting from the extra seasoning in the upper minors following his early-season demotion, batting .263 with four homers and three steals in 30 games since April 27. • Starring role in win
Tovar went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 4-1 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Tovar was the only Rockie with multiple hits in the contest. This was his 10th multi-hit effort over his last 16 games, a span in which he's batting .356 (26-for-73) with four homers, nine RBI, 14 runs scored and one stolen base. The shortstop is up to a .294/.328/.481 slash line with eight homers, 24 RBI, 30 runs scored, four steals, 17 doubles and a triple over 55 contests this season. He still hits far better at home (.862 OPS), but he's been passable on the road this season as well with a .757 OPS away from Coors Field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:23 pm

    • Ezequiel Tovar picks up three hits, homers in win
Ezequiel Tovar went 3-for-4 with a solo homer in a win Friday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Tovar gave the Rockies a 4-0 lead with a solo homer in the fourth off Walker Buehler. The shortstop has homered eight times in 2024 with five of them coming in May. Tovar still needs to show a little more consistency to reach an elite level, but the talent is there for him to reach that lofty status in the coming years. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:47 pm

    • Tanner Houck dominates in victory over Tigers
Tanner Houck delivered a dominant performance in Friday night’s victory over the Tigers, allowing just one run on three hits over seven stellar innings.

Advice: The 27-year-old hurler racked up six strikeouts on the evening while issuing a pair of free passes. The lone tally against him came on an RBI single by Gio Urshela in the opening inning. After that, the Tigers never really threatened against him. Houck got 10 swings and misses on 95 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 32 percent. Now 5-5 on the season, he’ll carry an impressive 1.85 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and a 75/15 K/BB ratio (78 innings) into Thursday’s matchup against the White Sox in Chicago. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:42 pm

    • Hangs on for ninth save
Duran picked up the save Thursday against the Royals, allowing two unearned runs on a hit and a walk in the ninth inning.

Advice: Protecting a three-run lead in the ninth inning, Duran would allow a pair of runs on Bobby Witt's two-out single following a walk and a Carlos Santana error. However, Duran would coax a game-ending groundout from Vinnie Pasquantino, earning his ninth save in as many chances to open the year. While he's been a bit shaky of late, Duran's now gone five appearances (4.1 innings) without allowing an earned run. His ERA is down to 3.21 with a 1.21 WHIP despite him averaging just 8.36 K/9, down from his career mark of 11.63. Rotowire.com Thursday, 4:15 pm

    • Josh Hader fans two in non-save situation vs. M’s
Josh Hader struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning on Thursday against the Mariners.

Advice: Hader got the call to protect a four-run advantage in a non-save situation and made things interesting by giving up singles to Julio Rodríguez and Ty France before striking out Dominic Canzone and getting Mitch Haniger to ground out to extinguish the threat. The 30-year-old lefty has allowed just two runs with a 20/4 K/BB ratio across 11 appearances since the start of May. Simply put, he remains one of the few elite closers in the fantasy landscape.
