    • Taking seat Friday
Lowe is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Baltimore, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Lowe will get a day off with lefty Cole Irvin on the mound for the O's. Randy Arozarena, Jose Siri and Jonny DeLuca will patrol the outfield from left to right Friday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:13 pm

    • Reaches four times, homers
Betts went 2-for-4 with two walks, a three-run home run and an additional run scored during Thursday's 11-7 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Betts' three-run blast capped off a six-run fifth inning for the Dodgers and plated Miguel Vargas and Austin Barnes. Prior to Thursday's outburst, Betts had gone 1-for-24 (.042) across six games. Despite the minor cold spell, he owns the ninth-best OPS in MLB at .923 with 10 homers and nine stolen bases. • Mookie Betts homers to lead Dodgers past Pirates
Mookie Betts went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer on Thursday, powering the Dodgers to an 11-7 victory over the Pirates.

Advice: Betts capped off Los Angeles’ six-run explosion in the fifth inning with his 10th round-tripper of the season, taking Pirates reliever Ben Heller deep to center field. It was his second big fly in his last four games and first multi-hit effort since May 28. He also walked twice in this one. The 31-year-old fantasy superstar is batting .312/.411/.512 with 46 runs scored, 10 homers, 35 RBI and nine stolen bases through 292 plate appearances over 63 games. Rotoworld Thursday, 6:54 pm

    • Eloy Jiménez to start rehab assignment next week
Eloy Jiménez (hamstring) will begin a minor league rehab assignment next week.

Advice: The oft-injured slugger has been out since mid-May with a left hamstring strain and is expected to be sidelined for at least a couple additional weeks. The 27-year-old has struggled to a .668 OPS with five homers in 146 plate appearances this season. Rotoworld Thursday, 4:30 pm

    • Rehab assignment on tap
Manager Pedro Grifol said Thursday that Jimenez (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment next week, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.

Advice: Jimenez was initially given a one-month return timeline when he landed on the IL on May 22 with a left hamstring strain, but he appears to already be approaching a return to game action. It's unclear exactly when the 27-year-old will head to the minors or how long he'll remain there, but the White Sox will likely be eager to return him to their lineup as soon as possible given their offense's poor performance to start the year. • Josh Lowe returns to lineup against Marlins
Josh Lowe, who didn’t start Tuesday in his return from the injured list, is in the lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Marlins.

Advice: Josh Lowe, Brandon Lowe and Ben Rortvedt are all starting for the Rays today, even though the Marlins are throwing a left-hander in Braxton Garrett. Factoring in big time there is that the Rays also faced left-handers on Sunday and Tuesday, had Monday off and have another day off tomorrow; they can’t have all of their lefties sitting around that long without playing. Josh Lowe is less likely to be treated as a true platoon guy than the Rays’ other left-handed hitters, assuming that he can stay healthy from here and resume producing like he did last season. • Late addition to lineup
Meyers has been added to the lineup and will start in center field and bat cleanup Wednesday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Meyers had been scheduled to receive the day off, but with Alex Bregman (hand) scratched from the lineup, the Astros had an opening. With Meyers filling his usual spot in center field, Mauricio Dubon will shift from center to cover third base for Bregman. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:06 am

    • Getting breather
Meyers is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Cardinals, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Meyers looks to be receiving a routine maintenance day after producing two hits and two RBI in the first two games of the series. Houston will go with Mauricio Dubon in center field Wednesday as it attempts to complete the sweep of St. Louis. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:17 am

    • On base three times
Rengifo went 2-for-3 with a walk, a steal and an RBI in Tuesday's win over the Padres.

Advice: Rengifo plated the Angels' first run with a base hit in the third and wound up being stranded on second after notching his 14th steal and second in as many games. He now has at least a hit in four straight games and is slashing .390/.419/.512 with three RBI, eight runs and a 2:4 BB:K in 43 plate appearances since May 24. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:33 am
