    • Trea Turner set to ramp-up baseball activities
Trea Turner (hamstring) will progress to running the bases, fielding grounders and hitting in the batting cage on Saturday.

Advice: Phillies manager Rob Thomson indicated Saturday that Turner may not require a minor league rehab assignment, but he’s not expected to ramp-up baseball activities until next week’s series at Fenway Park in Boston. The 30-year-old fantasy star has been on the shelf since early May recovering from a left hamstring strain. It certainly sounds like he’ll be ready to return by mid-June. Rotoworld Today, 8:12 am

    • Starling Marte back in lineup for London Series
Starling Marte (knee) is in the lineup for Saturday’s London Series opener against the Phillies.

Advice: Marte is back in right field and batting fifth for Saturday’s London Series opener after getting a couple extra days of rest after sitting out Wednesday’s series finale against the Nationals due to right knee soreness. Rotoworld Today, 6:40 am

    • Returns to lineup
Marte (knee) is starting in right field and batting fifth Saturday against the Phillies, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: A knee issue forced Marte to be scratched from New York's lineup prior to Wednesday's contest, but the problem appears to have subsided ahead of New York's two-game series against Philly in London. The 35-year-old outfielder has been on a tear as of late, going 10-for-22 with six RBI and five runs scored across his last six games. Rotowire.com Today, 6:29 am

    • Takes hard-luck loss
Ryan (4-5) was stuck with the loss Friday against the Pirates, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Ryan was excellent Friday, holding Pittsburgh to just two runs over seven innings. However, the Twins couldn't muster anything against Mitch Keller in an eventual 3-0 defeat. Despite the loss, it was a strong bounce-back effort from Ryan after he allowed five runs in five innings in a loss to Houston in his last outing. The right-hander now sports a 3.30 ERA with a 0.97 WHIP and 85:13 K:BB across 79 innings. Ryan's currently in line for a home matchup with the Rockies in his next start. • Lifts ninth homer
Gurriel went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-3 loss to the Padres.

Advice: Gurriel has hit safely in nine of his last 11 games, going 10-for-37 (.270) with three homers in that span. He didn't start Friday, but he entered as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning and delivered with his ninth long ball of the campaign. The outfielder has added 37 RBI, 29 runs scored, three stolen bases and a .239/.282/.399 slash line over 252 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:53 pm
    • Logs steal in win
Merrill went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 10-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: This was Merrill's first steal since May 14. Over the 20 contests between thefts, he hit a meager .224 (15-for-67) with no walks and just one extra-base hit. The 21-year-old is still at a respectable .268/.303/.344 slash line with three home runs, 22 RBI, 24 runs scored and eight steals over 63 contests this year. Merrill has been benched against some left-handed pitchers recently, but he should have no trouble maintaining a majority of the playing time in center field over Jose Azocar. • Racks up three hits
Campusano went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and one run scored in Friday's 10-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Campusano entered Friday just 1-for-29 with four walks and five strikeouts over his previous 12 contests. He finally made some good contact, which included an RBI single in the eighth inning as well as a double, which was his first extra-base hit since May 19. The catcher's slump left a mark on his season-long numbers -- he's now at a .234/.284/.359 slash line with four home runs, 27 RBI, 23 runs scored, 11 doubles and no stolen bases over 57 games. Campusano remains in a starting role at catcher over Kyle Higashioka. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:30 pm
    • Framber Valdez turns in complete game in 7-1 win
Framber Valdez went the distance against the Angels tonight, striking out eight in the Astros’ 7-1 victory.

Advice: This was the same team he gave up eight runs to on May 20. Valdez pitched a four-hitter in his seventh career complete game and first of 2024. He’s now 5-3 with a 3.53 ERA, and he’ll have a chance to keep it going against the Giants on Wednesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:06 pm
    • Secures 21st save
Helsley picked up the save in Friday's 8-5 victory over Colorado. He pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts.

Advice: Helsley handily retired all three batters faced in his third consecutive scoreless outing to gather his league-leading 21st save. The Cardinals closer has been stellar, suffering just one blown save in his 28 total appearances. Overall, the 29-year-old flamethrower sports a 2.25 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 31:6 K:BB in 28 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:02 pm
