      Advice: The southpaw pitched well in his second quality start of the season, generating 30 called or swinging strikes among his 90 pitches, but a lack of run support kept him out of the win column once again. Steele appears to be rounding into form after missing all of April with a hamstring strain, and over his last three starts he sports a 1.89 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 20:6 K:BB through 19 innings.       Michael King struck out five over five shutout innings on Friday in a win over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: King received double-digit run support from San Diego’s offense and was able to cruise to a relatively easy win, scattering four hits and one walk over five spotless frames. The 29-year-old righty has been phenomenal of late, allowing three earned runs or fewer in six of his last seven starts since May 4. He’ll carry a sharp 3.58 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 83/32 K/BB ratio across 78 innings (14 appearances, 13 starts) into an extremely favorable matchup on Wednesday afternoon against the rebuilding Athletics.       Miller did not factor into the decision in Friday's 10-9 loss to Kansas City, allowing seven runs on six hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out one.

      Advice: Miller posted his worst start of the season, allowing nine baserunners and seven runs, each marking season worsts. The Seattle right-hander was cruising through three scoreless innings before allowing four runs in the fourth, rounded out with a three-run blast by MJ Melendez. The outing pushed Miller's WHIP north of one, as it now stands at 1.02 to go with a 3.81 ERA over 75.2 innings. He's been excellent over his last three starts, allowing just two runs on 11 hits and four walks with 16 strikeouts over his last 17 innings. King is at a 3.58 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 83:32 K:BB through 78 innings across 14 appearances (13 starts).       Advice: Miller was handed an 8-0 lead, but he nearly gave it all back himself.       Justin Steele dropped to 0-3 after allowing three runs in seven innings Friday against the Reds.

      Advice: Two of the runs scored in the fourth after Steele had Elly De La Cruz picked off first base, only for Cruz to reach second because of errant throw from Michael Busch.       The Astros placed Tucker on the 10-day injured list Friday with a right shin contusion, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

      Advice: Tucker has been held out of action since he fouled a ball off his right shin during Monday's game against the Cardinals. Manager Joe Espada said Friday that Tucker is feeling much better since then, per Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle, though the outfielder's recovery has progressed much slower than the team initially expected.       Astros placed OF Kyle Tucker on the 10-day injured list with a right shin contusion.

      Advice: Tucker has been unable to play since leaving Monday’s game with a bruise on his left shin, and the Astros will place him on the injured list rather than play shorthanded.
