    • Starts rehab assignment
Sborz (shoulder) allowed two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out one over two-thirds of an inning for Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.

Advice: Sborz started a rehab assignment Sunday and threw 20 pitches (10 strikes) with his fastball topping out at 95.7 mph. Per Kennedi Landry of MLB.com, Sborz had been scheduled to throw an inning. Texas manager Bruce Bochy didn't give a specific number of outings or innings for the reliever, who's been out since May 8 with right shoulder tightness. Rotowire.com 23 minutes ago

    • Uses all pitches in bullpen session
Santos (lat) threw a 30-pitch up-and-down bullpen session Saturday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Santos tossed 15 pitches in both of his sets and mixed in all of his pitches. Assuming Santos comes out of the side session without any renewed discomfort in his right lat, he'll likely be cleared to face hitters in a live batting practice session later this week. The Mariners remain optimistic that Santos will return from the 60-day injured list and make his team debut at some point in July. Rotowire.com 41 minutes ago
    • Falls to 2-9
Hudson (2-9) yielded three runs on seven hits and a walk over 5.1 innings Sunday, striking out five and taking a loss against the Pirates.

Advice: Hudson gave up one through five frames before the Pirates broke out with a five-run sixth inning, with two of those runs being charged to Hudson. He forced 11 whiffs, including six via the slider. Hudson has produced a 4.41 ERA through three starts this month, slightly lowering his season ERA to 4.89 through 73.2 frames. His next start is projected to be at home against Washington. Rotowire.com 51 minutes ago

    • Returns with scoreless outing
Fleming allowed four hits over four-plus shutout innings during a no-decision Sunday. He struck out two during the win over Colorado.

Advice: Fleming made his first MLB appearance since May 13 and impressed with four scoreless frames. He gave up a pair of singles without recording an out in the fifth inning but Carmen Mlodzinski escaped the jam to keep the Rockies off the board. Fleming now owns a 4.70 ERA with a 15:9 K:BB through 23 MLB innings this season. He'll most likely shift to the bullpen or head back to Triple-A Indianapolis. Rotowire.com 59 minutes ago

    • Logs two scoreless innings Sunday
Holton tossed two scoreless innings of relief in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Astros. He struck out one.

Advice: Holton continued his strong June, as he now has a 1.00 ERA and 0.44 WHIP across nine innings this month. For the season, the lefty has a solid 3.58 ERA and 0.74 WHIP across 37.2 innings. That's on top of the excellent 2.11 ERA and 0.87 WHIP he registered across 85.1 innings in 2023. Holton isn't seeing regular save opportunities yet, though he has established himself as a trusted member of the Detroit bullpen, and he could push for a larger role if he continues to pitch well. • Tosses two scoreless innings Sunday
Smyly tossed two scoreless innings of relief in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Cardinals. He allowed two hits and struck out two.

Advice: After a solid effort from starter Jameson Taillon across six innings, Smyly did his best to keep the Cubs in the game despite their lack of offense. The lefty has now logged five straight scoreless outings covering seven innings, and he's struck out seven during the hot steak. Smyly seems more suited for a relief role than a starting gig at this point in his career, as his fastball is up to 93.1 mph this season after sitting at 92 mph last year when he made 23 starts, and he's been more effective with the added velocity. • Too much traffic in loss
Stroman (6-3) allowed four runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out three over five innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Red Sox.

Advice: In addition to allowing 11 baserunners, Stroman was also on the mound for six of the Red Sox's franchise-best nine steals in the contest. Stroman has had two bad outings and one good one through three starts in June, though Sunday marked his first loss since May 9. The right-hander has maintained a 3.08 ERA despite a 1.30 WHIP and 61:38 K:BB over 84.2 innings through 15 starts this season. He's projected for a home start versus Atlanta in his next outing. • Strikes out nine in win
Crawford (3-6) allowed three runs on three hits and a walk while striking out nine over six innings to earn the win Sunday over the Yankees.

Advice: Crawford had given up at least four runs in five of his last six starts, but he was able to turn in a strong performance Sunday. He allowed solo home runs to Aaron Judge and Jose Trevino, but Crawford's nine strikeouts were a season high, and he snapped a four-start losing streak. The right-hander is at a 3.54 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 88:26 K:BB through 86.1 innings over 15 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road in Cincinnati. • Chased early Sunday
Estes allowed six runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out two over 2.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Twins in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Advice: Both Estes and Twins starter Chris Paddack were hit hard in the early innings, and neither completed three frames. This was Estes' shortest outing of the season, and it's the first time in four starts he's given up more than three runs. The right-hander is now at a 5.97 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 30:9 K:BB through 34.2 innings over seven starts. His next outing is projected to come at home in a rematch versus the Twins.
