    • Garrett Crochet strikes out eight in no-decision
      Garrett Crochet held the Brewers to one run over six innings while striking out eight Saturday in a no-decision for the White Sox.

      Advice: Crochet scattered five hits with one walk. The left-hander continues to impress even while playing for arguably the worst team in baseball, and he’s struck out 19 over his last two outings while allowing just three runs over 12 innings. Any question that Crochet has the stuff to succeed as a starter was pretty silly, but it should have been answered now. The questions of whether he can handle the modern rigors remain in doubt, but right now, Crochet is an excellent fantasy option even if the wins won’t come.       Crochet didn't factor into the decision in an extra-inning loss to the Brewers on Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out eight.

      Advice: Crochet's now logged quality starts in five of his last six outings, posting a stellar 1.03 ERA in that span (35 innings). The 24-year-old left-hander continues to provide a bright spot on a rebuilding White Sox team -- Crochet's ERA is down to 3.49 on the year with a 0.93 WHIP and 93 strikeouts, good for second most in the league.       Fernando Tatis Jr. homered and went 3-for-4 in a 7-3 win for the Padres over the Angels on Saturday.

      Advice: Tatis Jr. got the party started for the Padres with a solo homer in the first inning off Alec Marsh. The 25-year-old also singled twice and drew a walk for a four-reach day. Tatis hasn’t been spectacular in the first 60-plus games of the season, but he’s up to 10 homers, 30 RBI and six stolen bases with a .772 OPS.       Advice: Tatis opened the scoring in the first inning with a 422-foot solo shot off Alec Marsh, his 10th homer of the season. The 25-year-old Tatis has at least one hit in his last seven games, going 11-for-29 (.379) in that span.       Advice: Westburg returned to the lineup after missing two games with a hand injury and looked just fine at the plate. He took Taj Bradley deep for a solo homer to lead off the second inning. He drove in a second run with a single in the third and scored on a sacrifice fly by Jorge Mateo. The 25-year-old infielder has put together a breakthrough campaign so far, posting a .291/.351/.508 triple-slash line with eight homers and five steals in 209 plate appearances over 51 games.       Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters Friday that Trea Turner (hamstring) remains without a definitive timetable to return.

      Advice: Turner suffered a minor setback in his recovery from a left hamstring strain earlier this week when he experienced leg soreness following a high-intensity workout. He managed to resume fielding grounders and also did some light jogging prior to Friday’s game against the Cardinals, but doesn’t appear close to running the bases again, which would be his final hurdle prior to a minor league rehab assignment. It’s a frustrating situation for fantasy managers, but the Phillies can’t really afford to rush him back and risk another setback. At this point, a mid-June return seems like a best-case scenario.
