    • Freddie Freeman reaches three times in win
Freddie Freeman went 2-for-3 with an RBI single on Saturday, lifting the Dodgers to a 4-0 victory over the Reds.

Advice: Freeman reached base safely in three of his four plate appearances as he continues to find his groove at the dish, batting .302 (16-for-53) with two homers over his last 15 contests. The 34-year-old veteran on-base machine isn’t running much at the moment with just one steal through 48 games, but his plate skills remain elite. Rotoworld Today, 3:49 am

    • Swinging hot bat
Devers went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Devers has homered in four straight games, giving him eight long balls on the year. The third baseman took Miles Mikolas deep in the fourth inning Saturday. Devers is batting .294 (10-for-34) with seven extra-base hits and seven RBI during his eight-game hitting streak. He's up to a .284/.381/.537 slash line through 36 contests this season. • Lowe gets plunked in 13th to give Rangers win
Nathaniel Lowe drove in two runs including a walk-off hit-by-pitch in the 13th inning against the Angels on Saturday.

Advice: The Angels decided to load the bases with an intentional walk to Corey Seager. It didn’t work out, as Carson Fulmer plunked Lowe to give the Rangers the win. Baseball strategy is a cruel enigma sometimes. Lowe has gotten on at a .391 clip since returning from injury, and he’s driven in 14 runs in 25 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:02 pm

    • Rafael Devers homers in fourth straight game
Rafael Devers hit a solo homer in a loss to the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: That’s the fourth-consecutive game that Devers has gone deep. The 27-year-old now has eight homers and 19 RBI on the season, and fantasy managers have to be thrilled to see the third baseman driving the baseball over the fence as of late. Obvious point could be obvious. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:13 pm
    • Perez drives in two on Saturday
Salvador Perez went 1-for-4 with two RBI against the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Perez had a two-run single in the first inning that opened the scoring. The 34-year-old backstop has been great this year as he’s hitting .333 with a .949 OPS. His walk percentage is nearly double what it usually is at 7.8 percent and his strikeout percentage of 15 percent would be his lowest since 2015. Still, we can’t expect Perez to keep up this average as his .368 BABIP is 77 points higher than his career .291 BABIP.

    • San Diego-Atlanta game postponed
Darvish and the Padres will not play Saturday after their game in Atlanta was postponed due to inclement weather.

Advice: The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Monday. Darvish will be pushed back a day to start Sunday, which would also mean delaying Joe Musgrove's (elbow) return from the injured list to Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:03 pm

    • Throws bullpen session
Phillips (hamstring) threw another bullpen session Saturday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Saturday's mound session was Phillips' second since landing on the injured list May 5 with a strained right hamstring. He still has yet to face live hitters, but manager Dave Roberts said after Phillips' session that the right-hander is roughly a week away from rejoining Los Angeles' bullpen. • Moved to 60-day IL
The Giants transferred Lee (shoulder) to the 60-day IL on Saturday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Lee will miss the remainder of the 2024 season after dislocating his left shoulder Sunday and suffering a torn labrum. He will finish his first season in the majors with a .262/.310/.331 slash line while hitting two homers and driving in eight RBI across 145 plate appearances. Ryan McKenna was claimed off waivers from Baltimore to fill Lee's spot on the 40-man roster. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:43 pm

    • Giants transfer Jung Hoo Lee to 60-day IL
Giants transferred OF Jung Hoo Lee to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: The procedural move opens up a spot on San Francisco’s 40-man roster to claim outfielder Ryan McKenna off waivers from Baltimore. Lee is set to undergo season-ending surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:34 pm
