    Advice: Hader made quick work of the Brewers Friday, needing just 12 pitches to snag his sixth save of the year. After a disastrous start to his Astros career -- 9.39 ERA with one save through nine appearances -- Hader has seemingly settled in with his new team. He's allowed just two earned runs over his last 12.1 innings, lowering his season ERA to 4.50. He's riding a 5.1-inning scoreless streak with three saves and a win during that span.   • Wins with shaky outing
    Brown (1-4) yielded four runs on four hits and three walks over five innings Friday, striking out five and earning a win over the Brewers.

    Advice: Brown moved back into Houston's rotation for his first start since May 5 and notched his first win of 2024. He coughed up a solo homer to Jake Bauers in the second inning before Joey Ortiz slugged a three-run shot in the fourth. Brown has walked at least three batters in four of his eight starts and now owns a 41:21 K:BB through 37.1 innings. He'll carry a 7.71 ERA into his next appearance, which is currently lined up to be at home against the Angels.     Peralta (3-2) allowed five runs on eight hits and a walk over five innings Friday, striking out six and taking a loss against Houston.

    Advice: All five runs against Peralta came on Houston home runs; Jake Meyers knocked a two-run shot in the second inning followed by Jeremy Pena's three-run blast in the fifth. Peralta forced 13 whiffs -- including seven with his slider -- and has generated double-digit swinging strikes in each of his nine starts this season. After beginning the year with a 1.90 ERA through 23.2 frames, he's posted an ugly 6.23 ERA over his last five outings. Peralta's next start is lined up to be in Miami next week.     Blake Snell (adductor) recorded 10 strikeouts over five hitless innings on Friday in a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Sacramento.

    Advice: He’s ready. The plan all along had been for Snell to rejoin the Giants’ rotation next week as long as this start went well, and he was nearly perfect, allowing just one walk over five frames. The 31-year-old reigning NL Cy Young Award winner should slot back into San Francisco’s rotation against the Pirates in Pittsburgh next week.     Advice: It was a nice rebound effort after a couple tough outings in a row for Meyer since being shipped back to the minors. The 25-year-old top pitching prospect showed some real promise in a handful of outings for the Marlins at the outset of the year, but it’s unclear when he’ll return to the majors at the moment.     Advice: Crismatt could ultimately wind up back as extra organizational relief depth after being removed from Los Angeles’ 40-man roster for the second time this season already. However, he’ll explore his options on the open market for now after refusing an outright assignment to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
