• Jonny DeLuca making third straight start
Jonny DeLuca is starting in left field for the Rays on Thursday.

Advice: This is now the third straight start for DeLuca, who has played each outfield position over the last three days. On Thursday, it will be Richie Palacios who gets a day off despite the Rays facing a right-handed pitcher. The 25-year-old DeLuca is just 2-for-34 in 11 games in June, so the playing time hasn’t been doing much for fantasy managers. DeLuca can be left on the wire in most formats. • Reaches three times in win
Schuemann went 0-for-2 with three walks and a run in a win over the Royals on Wednesday.

Advice: Schuemann busy night on the basepaths surprisingly led to only one run, but it did push his OBP back up to an improving .318. The rookie has hit safely in three of the last four games, and his walk rate has now hit double digits (10.1 percent) after also sitting at that threshold in each of the last six minor-league stops before his promotion. • Plates pair in Wednesday's win
Rooker went 2-for-3 with two RBI singles and a walk in a win over the Royals on Wednesday.

Advice: Rooker's timely hitting led to two of the Athletics' five runs, with the veteran driving home JJ Bleday in the third and seventh innings with his pair of singles. Rooker has now hit safely in eight of his last 10 games, but a 42.9 percent strikeout rate has helped lead to a lackluster .211/.262/.368 slash line in that same span. • Yordan Alvarez returns to lineup on Thursday
Yordan Alvarez is back in the lineup for Thursday’s contest against the White Sox.

Advice: Alvarez was out of the lineup for the last two days while tending to a family matter, but he’ll be back in Houston’s lineup hitting third for Thursday’s showdown in Chicago. The 26-year-old has been stellar this season and is seeing the ball very well in June. He should obviously be back in fantasy lineups. Rotoworld Today, 8:44 am
  • Exiting lineup Thursday
Cabbage is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the White Sox, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Chas McCormick will get the nod in right field Thursday, and he and Cabbage have now picked up six starts apiece at the position since Kyle Tucker bruised his right shin earlier this month and eventually landed on the injured list. Houston should continue to deploy a timeshare between the lefty-hitting Cabbage and the righty-hitting McCormick at the position until Tucker is back in action, but manager Joe Espada doesn't seem to be running a strict platoon. • Rejoining lineup Thursday
Alvarez (personal) will serve as the Astros' designated hitter and No. 3 batter in Thursday's game against the White Sox, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Alvarez was away from the Astros for the last two days to tend to a family matter, but he caught a flight back to Chicago and rejoined the team in time for the series finale with the White Sox. Before his brief absence, Alvarez had been sizzling at the plate in June, producing a monstrous 1.212 OPS over 14 games on the month. Rotowire.com Today, 8:36 am
  • Sitting out Thursday
Palacios is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game in Minnesota, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Palacios typically starts against right-handers, but he'll end up sitting against a righty (Simeon Woods Richardson) for the second time in three contests. The 27-year-old has gone just 4-for-35 at the plate so far in June. Rotowire.com Today, 8:15 am

  • Will serve as 27th man
The Cardinals recalled Scott from Triple-A Memphis on Thursday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The Cardinals and Giants are both allowed an extra player for Thursday's contest at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Ala. Scott should be available as a pinch runner and defensive replacement and will be sent back down to Memphis after the game. Rotowire.com Today, 6:34 am

  • Swats seventh homer
Winker went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in Wednesday's 3-1 win over Arizona.

Advice: He delivered what proved to be the game-winning hit in the sixth inning when he drove a Brandon Pfaadt splitter over the fence in left-center field. Winker snapped a 25-game homer drought with the blast, but he wasn't exactly slumping during that stretch, batting .333 (25-for-75) over that stretch. On the season, the 30-year-old outfielder is slashing .266/.380/.406 with seven homers, 11 steals, 33 RBI and 34 runs in 70 contests. Rotowire.com Today, 6:26 am
