• Lifts seventh homer
Rodriguez went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Rodriguez has two homers over his last three games and three of his seven long balls this year have come in June. The outfielder is batting .278 (15-for-54) over 14 contests this month, though Saturday was the first game since June 4 in which he didn't strike out. Over 73 games this season, Rodriguez is slashing .267/.317/.361 with 29 RBI, 36 runs scored and 16 stolen bases. Rotowire.com Today, 9:16 pm

  • Jake Cave triples, plates three in blowout win
Jake Cave went 3-for-5 with a triple and three RBI in a blowout win for the Rockies on Saturday over the Pirates.

Advice: Cave doubled in two in the fourth off Jared Jones, and singled in another run in the seventh. The triple was the third of the season for the speedy 31-year-old outfielder. Rotoworld Today, 8:58 pm

  • Toglia hits grand slam as Rockies clobber Pirates
Michael Toglia hit a grand slam in a blowout victory for the Rockies over the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Toglia turned a comfortable lead of 11-4 into a certified blowout with his grand slam off Dennis Santana. It’s the second time he’s cleared the bases and made it home on the same play in 2024, but the other one was a Little League slam against the Cardinals. Toglia has been awful thus far in his MLB career, and isn’t likely to have too many efforts like this even playing his home games in Colorado. Rotoworld Today, 8:58 pm

  • Hunter Goodman homers twice, drives in five
Hunter Goodman homered twice, picked up four hits and drove in five runs in a 16-4 shellacking of the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Goodman also scored three runs in a monster game for the 24-year-old. There haven’t been many for the infielder/backstop, but he showed off his impressive raw power with a pair of homers to center; one a solo shot and the other a two-run blast. Even with the big effort Goodman is only hitting .203/.247/.449, but that pop and his friendly home confines certainly make him a name to keep an eye on. Rotoworld Today, 8:57 pm

  • Gavin Lux drives home two in loss to Royals
Gavin Lux drove in two runs in a loss Saturday to the Dodgers.

Advice: Lux was responsible for the only runs of the game for the Dodgers with a two-run single off Seth Lugo in the fourth. The 26-year-old still is scuffling with a slash of .215/.266/.285 over 186 at-bats. Rotoworld Today, 8:43 pm

  • MJ Melendez hits grand slam in win over Dodgers
MJ Melendez hit a grand slam to help the Royals to a 7-2 win over the Dodgers on Saturday.

Advice: With the bases full, Melendez took Blake Treinen deep to give the Royals a 5-2 lead. The 25-year-old outfielder has been a significant disappointment in 2024, but he’s at least starting to show some pop with three homers in the month of June; all of them coming in the last eight games. • Swats homer Saturday
McCormick went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 13-5 loss to the Tigers.

Advice: McCormick didn't start Saturday against right-hander Jack Flaherty. McCormick was still able to make an impact in the lopsided loss with a homer in the seventh inning after replacing Yordan Alvarez in left field. The long ball was McCormick's first of the season, though he's managed three extra-base hits over his last five contests. The 29-year-old is slashing .209/.273/.291 with 12 RBI, 10 runs scored and three stolen bases over 121 plate appearances, and he's unlikely to make a consistent impact while occupying a short-side platoon role. • Goes deep in win
Vierling went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 13-5 win over the Astros.

Advice: Vierling has homered twice over his last four contests, though both were solo shots that represent his only RBI since May 29. The outfielder is batting a modest .196 (10-for-51) over 12 contests in June, though he's still often hitting in the top third of the Tigers' lineup. Vierling is at a .266/.305/.468 slash line with nine homers, 30 RBI, 30 runs scored, nine doubles, four triples and no stolen bases through 63 games this year. Rotowire.com Today, 8:29 pm

  • Four hits in blowout win
Perez went 4-for-6 with two RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored in Saturday's 13-5 win over the Astros.

Advice: Perez has been an all-or-nothing player in June, posting four multi-hit efforts and eight hitless games this month. While the lack of consistency is concerning, a four-hit game is a positive spot for the 24-year-old to build from. On the year, he's slashing .260/.320/.401 with three home runs, five steals, 17 RBI and 27 runs scored across 195 plate appearances. Perez also hit atop the order Saturday for the first time in five games, though he is usually somewhere in the top third of the lineup against right-handers. Rotowire.com Today, 8:20 pm
