    • Homers in return to lineup
Torres went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Friday's 16-5 rout of Toronto.

Advice: Torres was held out of action Wednesday and Thursday following a prolonged slump, and the time off appeared to serve him well. The second baseman contributed to the team's offensive explosion Friday with a two-run blast in the sixth inning and a sacrifice fly in the ninth. Torres finished with his first multi-hit game in over a month -- he hadn't accomplished that feat since going 2-for-4 against San Diego on May 26. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:08 am

    • Ready to return to lineup
Lowe (toe) went 0-for-1 with a strikeout Friday against the Nationals.

Advice: Lowe has been out of the lineup for five straight games with a fractured pinky toe, and Friday's appearance as a pinch hitter was his first since suffering the injury. Manager Kevin Cash said that Lowe was physically capable of being a starter, but Lowe remained on the bench due to a matchup against lefty Mitchell Parker, per MLB.com. Lowe wore a protective guard over his right cleat. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:36 am
    • Brandon Lowe strikes out as pinch-hitter on Friday
Brandon Lowe (toe) struck out as a pinch-hitter during Friday’s game against the Nationals.

Advice: Lowe has been held out of Tampa Bay’s lineup for the last five games as he recovers from a broken right toe, but it doesn’t appear that he’s going to require a trip to the injured list. He should be back in the lineup at some point this weekend. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:02 am
    • Cal Raleigh drives home game-winner in 10th
Cal Raleigh picked up an RBI on a fielder’s choice to give the Mariners a 3-2 win over the Twins on Friday.

Advice: The Mariners scored all of their runs in bizarre fashion Friday, and Raleigh made sure the game-winner was a dribbler that was good enough to score J.P. Crawford from third and give Seattle the win. The 27-year-old backstop has really struggled to hit for average, but has helped as a ron-producer with 50 RBI in through the first 84 games of the year. • Jeimer Candelario (knee) expected to return Sunday
Reds’ manager David Bell told reporters on Friday that Jeimer Candelario (knee) is expected to return to the starting lineup on Sunday.

Advice: Candelario has missed each of the team’s last three games due to a knee issue and he’ll sit on Saturday as well. The team doesn’t want him to miss a full 10 days though and they’re very hopeful that he’ll be able to return to action on Sunday. Fantasy mangers may still want to sit him through the weekend though to be on the safe side if alternative options are available. Rotoworld Friday, 3:24 pm

    • Aiming for Sunday return
Candelario (hamstring) is on track to play Sunday against the Cardinals, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Candelario hasn't played since Tuesday as he tends to hamstring tendinitis. However, he's set to make his return for the series finale Sunday and will avoid a stint on the IL. In his stead, Noelvi Marte should continue to start at third base while Spencer Steer handles first base work, but it's not yet clear how the workload at the infield corners will be divided between the trio once Candelario is healthy. • Expected to play Saturday
Fraley (calf) is expected to be back in the lineup Saturday at St. Louis, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Fraley has missed two consecutive contests with a right calf contusion, but he's on track to return Saturday. Santiago Espinal has drawn starts at DH in Fraley's place. Rotowire.com Friday, 2:47 pm

    • Gleyber Torres returns to Yankees lineup Friday
Gleyber Torres returned to the Yankees’ starting lineup on Friday night.

Advice: Torres may have been dealing with a minor injury, or his absence from the lineup the last two days could have been a punishment for failing to run out a ground ball. Either way, he’s back in there at second base and batting fifth against Yusei Kikuchi and the Blue Jays on Friday evening in Toronto. The 27-year-old is slashing a miserable .215/.294/.333 with seven homers, 29 RBI and four stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Friday, 1:27 pm

    • Returns to lineup
Torres is batting fifth and playing second base Friday at Toronto.

Advice: Torres is 2-for-29 at the plate since June 14 and was given back-to-back days off to clear his head amid the slump. The second baseman is 10-for-26 (.385) in his career against Yusei Kikuchi, who's the Blue Jays' starting pitcher Friday. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:23 pm
