The right-hander racked up 17 whiffs among his 111 pitches and gave Cincinnati 6.2 frames, marking the fifth straight start during which he's completed at least six innings.       Gray (7-4) allowed three runs on two hits and four walks while striking out five over 4.2 innings to take the loss versus the Rockies on Thursday.

      Advice: The four walks were a season high for Gray, and he also uncorked two wild pitches, one of which allowed a run to score in the fifth inning. Gray's control issues have manifested with five straight starts where he's allowed multiple walks, and he's failed to complete six innings in any of his last four outings. The right-hander is now at a 3.21 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 82:19 K:BB over 61.2 innings through 11 starts this season. Gray is projected to make his next start at home versus the Pirates. Gray also had a pitch clock violation. While his ERA increased to 3.21 on the year, his xFIP is much lower at 2.64.       Advice: Greene gave up five hits, walked two and struck out eight. The win was his fourth in 13 starts this season. It was a bit of a mixed bag for Greene with two home runs allowed and eight strikeouts. He has a 3.61 ERA on the season, but a 4.23 xFIP.       Bibee allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk over five innings in a no-decision Thursday against the Royals. He struck out seven.

      Advice: Bibee allowed just one unearned run through his first five innings, though he'd be charged with two runs in the sixth after allowing the first two batters to reach. Still, it was another decent effort from the 25-year-old right-hander -- Bibee now has seven strikeouts in back-to-back outings while pitching to a 2.12 ERA over his last five starts. Overall, he's 4-1 on the year with a 3.73 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 76:19 K:BB through 70 innings. Bibee's currently in line for a road matchup with the Reds in his next outing.       Tanner Bibee allowed three runs — two of them earned — while firing five innings in a no-decision against the Royals on Thursday.

      Advice: Bibee struck out seven against one free pass, and he allowed six hits. The 25-year-old allowed a run in the first on a double to Vinnie Pasquantino, but he settle down nicely before being charged for a pair in the sixth without recording an out. Bibee has been a slight fantasy disappointment in 2024, but there’s still reason for optimism in both the short and long-term. He’s set to square off with the Reds in Cincinnati on Wednesday.       Skenes (3-0) picked up the win Wednesday against the Dodgers, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk across five innings with eight strikeouts.

      Advice: While Skenes picked up his third victory in five career starts, he didn't make it out of Wednesday's start unscathed. Each of the three runs attributed to the rookie came off a home run, with Shohei Ohtani belting a two-run homer in the third inning before Andy Pages went yard for a solo shot in the fifth. At 22 years of age, Skenes has already established himself as an above-average MLB starter, holding a 3.00 ERA with an excellent 38:6 K:BB across 27.0 innings.
