The home run was his third in the last two games and sixth during the month of June. After an inconsistent first two months, Candelario's bat is heating up this month.       Freddy Peralta was tagged for six runs in 5 1/3 innings by the Reds on Friday.

      Advice: We sure do miss the Peralta of April. He gave up 10 hits tonight, which matches his total from both his first three starts and his second three starts. In fact. he had never before surrendered 10 hits in an outing. His velocity has held steady, and he got 16 missed swings tonight, but the Brewers couldn’t pick him up in this one.       Advice: Peralta gave up two home runs in the loss, including a two-run shot by Jeimer Candelario in the fifth inning. He forced 16 whiffs Friday, marking the 12th time he's reached double digits this season. Peralta has posted a 7.90 ERA through three starts this month, bumping his season ERA up to 4.38 through 76 innings. He's now 1-4 since the start of May.       Advice: Santander’s eighth inning home run was the first Matt Strahm has allowed all season and just the first run he’s allowed at all since opening day. Then Santander put one to the warning track in the 10th inning which nearly won the game for Baltimore. Also, his first inning single was smoked 114.4 MPH - the hardest he’s ever hit a ball in his career. That’s a great sign for the power hitting switch-hitter moving forward.       Hunter Brown delivered a dominant performance in Friday night’s victory over the Tigers, racking up nine strikeouts over seven innings of shutout baseball.

      Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander didn’t walk a batter on the night and all five of the hits that he allowed were singles. Brown generated 15 swings and misses on 96 pitches on the night — four or more on each of his sinker, cutter and slider — while registering a strong CSW of 34 percent. He’ll look to replicate this fine performance as he carries a 5.00 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and a 76/29 K/BB ratio (68 1/3 innings) into Thursday’s showdown against the White Sox in Chicago. He kept that stellar work rolling, generating 15 whiffs en route to nine punchouts, equaling his season-high strikeout mark in a game also reached May 28. The Houston right-hander has been an ace-level pitcher since May 1, going 3-1 with a 2.58 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 52:15 K:BB in 45.1 innings over seven starts.
