• Turang has four hits in win Friday
Brice Turing went 4-for-5 with two runs scored, two RBI, a double and a stolen base against the Tigers on Friday.

Advice: The stolen base was his 22nd of the season. Turang’s average is up to .303 on the season now and he’s managed 24 RBI. He continues to enjoy a breakout season out of the leadoff spot for the Brewers this year. Rotoworld 12 minutes ago

  • Correa has two more hits Friday
Carlos Correa went 2-for-3 against the Pirates on Friday.

Advice: It was a quiet night for the Twins offense as they were shutout by Mitch Keller and the Pittsburgh bullpen. Correa added two more hits to his ledger. He also hit second in the order, which is the spot ahead of Royce Lewis. Correa is no longer a star or even an All-Star, but he’s quietly having a nice season as long as he can continue to stay healthy. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago

  • Cruz blasts ninth home run on Friday
Oneil Cruz went 1-for-2 with a walk and a solo home run against the Twins on Friday.

Advice: The home run was Cruz’ ninth of the season and second in as many days. Prior to Thursday, he had gone 15 games without a home run and was hitting .180 in that stretch. He’s hitting .247 with a .744 OPS and 24 RBI on the season. Rotoworld 32 minutes ago

  • Corey Seager (hamstring) unavailable Friday
Corey Seager will not be available off the bench Friday after leaving Wednesday’s game with a hamstring strain.

Advice: Seager has avoided the IL for now and is considered day-to-day. The Rangers have Josh Smith at shortstop and Ezequiel Duran at third base tonight. Rotoworld Today, 4:33 pm

  • Nico Hoerner out of lineup due to hand injury
Cubs manager Craig Counsell now says X-rays last night on Nico Hoerner’s hand came back “somewhat inconclusive,” and the second baseman is not playing in Friday’s game.

Advice: It was originally reported that the X-rays came back negative after Hoerner was hit on the right hand by a pitch. Hoerner, though, had some trouble gripping the bat and swinging today. Hopefully, this is still just a day-to-day thing. There is the potential for some bad news, though. David Bote is starting at second base tonight. Rotoworld Today, 2:26 pm

  • Sitting out after HBP
Hoerner is not in Friday's lineup in Cincinnati after being hit on the hand by a pitch in Thursday's win over the White Sox, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Advice: Hoerner was struck by a pitch in the fourth inning Thursday but stayed in and finished that game. He underwent a precautionary X-ray afterward, which evidently came back clean. However, it could be dealing with some residual soreness, hence his absence from Friday's lineup. Consider him day-to-day. David Bote will handle second base Friday. Rotowire.com Today, 1:22 pm

  • Not starting Friday
Seager (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Giants.

Advice: The hamstring injury that caused Seager's departure from Wednesday's matchup with the Tigers is considered minor, but he'll still be out of the starting nine for at least one game. The 30-year-old is still on Texas' lineup card, per Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News, and he isn't expected to require a trip to the injured list. Josh Smith will shift to shortstop while Ezequiel Duran receives a start at the hot corner. Rotowire.com Today, 12:59 pm

  • Marlins place Lopez on paternity list
Marlins placed SS Otto Lopez on paternity list.

Advice: Lopez will be away from the team for three days as he takes care of things much more important than baseball. Lopez is hitting .295 with three home runs in 95 at-bats with Miami this season. Rotoworld Today, 12:44 pm
