    • Goes deep in loss
Bryant went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's 13-7 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Bryant has gone 6-for-28 (.214) over eight games since he returned from a back injury. His homer Tuesday was his first extra-base hit in that span. The 32-year-old is slashing a meager .173/.303/.280 with two homers, nine RBI, four runs scored and two doubles over 21 contests this season. For now, it looks like Bryant and Elehuris Montero will share first base and designated hitter. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:31 pm

    • Crosses plate four times
Ramirez went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, two walks and four total runs scored in Tuesday's 13-7 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Ramirez has five multi-hit efforts, five homers and 15 RBI over his last seven contests. He opened the scoring in the first inning with his team-leading 16th homer of the campaign. The third baseman has added a major-league-best 56 RBI with 41 runs scored, eight stolen bases and a .272/.328/.558 slash line over 54 games this season. Ramirez was hatting as low as .227 with a .667 OPS on May 4, but he's powered up in a big way over the course of this month. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:52 pm

    • Triston McKenzie strikes out nine in no-decision
Triston McKenzie fanned a season-high nine while allowing four runs over five innings Tuesday against the Rockies.

Advice: McKenzie left with a three-run lead, but he was denied a win after that was blown in the sixth. The no-decision left him 0-1 in his last seven starts, even though the Guardians have gone 6-1 in those games. But let’s just keep pretending win-loss records matters in 2024. • José Ramírez homers, scores four times in victory
José Ramírez homered, doubled, walked twice and scored four runs against the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: Ramírez has spent most of the year with a slash line well below his usual standards, but going 16-for-44 with seven homers and six doubles in his last 11 games has pushed him up to .272/.328/.558, and he now has eight more RBI (56) than anyone else in the majors. • Allows four runs at Colorado
McKenzie gave up four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out nine over five innings in a no-decision versus the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: Kris Bryant and Elehuris Montero each tagged McKenzie for a two-run home run. Despite those homers, McKenzie left the game in line for the win before the Guardians' bullpen faltered in the sixth inning. The right-hander had limited opponents to three runs or fewer in each of his last seven outings before his step back Tuesday. McKenzie is at a 3.77 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 54:34 K:BB over 57.1 innings across 11 starts. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Royals in a tough divisional matchup. • Gausman allows one earned run in win over ChiSox
Kevin Gausman allowed one earned and four hits over six innings while earning the win on Tuesday against the White Sox.

Advice: Gausman didn’t face much resistance in this one, as the Blue Jays grabbed an early 3-0 lead in the second, which more or less put Gausman in cruise control against one of the league’s worst offenses. Gausman earned a win in three of his five stars this month, and will have a chance to start June off on a strong note when he makes his next scheduled start on Monday against the Orioles. • Sitting down for nightcap
Martinez isn't in the Mets' lineup for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After a 1-for-4 effort in Game 1, Martinez will get a breather to conclude Tuesday's activities. DJ Stewart will instead get the nod as New York's DH and bat fourth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:32 pm

    • Absent again
McCormick is not in the Astros' lineup versus the Mariners on Tuesday.

Advice: This will be the third consecutive absence for McCormick after also sitting out Sunday's and Monday's contests. He made a return from an injured-list stint due to right hamstring discomfort last Tuesday and has recorded a hit across the nine plate appearances he's logged in the three games he's played in that span. In his place, Yordan Alvarez will start in left field while Jon Singleton slots in as the designated hitter and Jose Abreu draws the start at first base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:43 pm

    • Nolan Jones (back, knee) runs bases on Tuesday
Nolan Jones (back, knee) progressed to running the bases on Tuesday at Coors Field.

Advice: Jones was pulled off a minor league rehab assignment last week due to right knee soreness, so it’s an encouraging development that he’s resumed running already. The 26-year-old should ramp-up the intensity in the coming days and could get back into minor league contests as early as Thursday with Triple-A Albuquerque. He’s been on the shelf since late April due to a lower back strain. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:29 pm
