    • On bench against righty
Crow-Armstrong is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Crow-Armstrong be on the bench against a right-handed starting pitcher (Miles Mikolas) for the second time in the series. After he was called up from Triple-A Iowa on May 30, Crow-Armstrong had settled into a near-everyday role in center field while the Cubs eased Cody Bellinger back from the injured list by deploying him more frequently at designated hitter, first base and right field. Now that Bellinger is further removed from a fractured rib cage and with first baseman Michael Busch also seemingly regaining the confidence of manager Craig Counsell, Crow-Armstrong could find himself as the odd man out of the Chicago lineup. • Picks up 10th win
Lugo (10-2) picked up the win over the Dodgers on Saturday, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk over six innings while striking out four.

Advice: Lugo did a great job of working his way out of trouble for most of the contest, with the exception of the fourth inning when he allowed back-to-back hits to open the frame and also hit Jason Heyward with a pitch before eventually surrendering two runs. The right-hander would allow just two more hits over his final two innings of work, notching his 11th quality start of the season and his first this month. Lugo is now tied with Ranger Suarez for the major league lead in wins with 10 and has gone at least six innings in five consecutive outings. Rotowire.com 6 minutes ago
    • Called up, shifts to 60-day IL
Atlanta recalled Ynoa from Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday and placed him on the 60-day injured list with a right elbow stress reaction, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Ynoa was optioned to Gwinnett coming out of spring training and made two starts in the minors before landing on the club's 7-day IL on April 23 with what was termed as right elbow inflammation. The 26-year-old's injury is now being classified differently, and since he's already been out of action at Triple-A for nearly two months, his move to Atlanta's 60-day IL won't affect his timeline for a return to the mound. Instead, the transaction temporarily removes Ynoa from Atlanta's 40-man roster and opens up a spot for right-hander Grant Holmes, whose contract was selected from Gwinnett ahead of Sunday's series finale with the Rays. • Extends hitting streak
Gonzales went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, two RBI and two runs scored Saturday against Colorado.

Advice: Gonzales tallied Pittsburgh's first run of the game with a solo home run in the fourth inning, his fifth long ball of the season. That knock also extended his hitting streak to six games, and he's hitting .292 with nine RBI and five runs scored across 12 contests in June. Rotowire.com 21 minutes ago

    • Grand slam in win
Toglia went 2-for-4 with a grand slam and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Pirates while also drawing a walk.

Advice: Toglia reached base in each of his first two at-bats, coming around to score Colorado's second run of the game on a Jake Cave double in the fourth. The 25-year-old would then add more insurance runs for the Rockies with a grand slam in the eighth as they ran away with the win at home. Toglia is now batting .300 in June with nine RBI and four runs scored and he's now hit safely in three straight games. Saturday also marked his second two-hit performance of the campaign. • Sent out to Triple-A
Atlanta optioned Kerr to Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Atlanta will swap the left-handed Kerr out of its bullpen for a right-hander in Grant Holmes, whose contract was selected from Gwinnett in a corresponding move. After making a pair of spot starts in late May, Kerr shifted into a relief role this month and gave up three earned runs on eight hits and four walks over 5.1 innings spanning four appearances. • Huge game in return
Cave went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple, three RBI and three runs scored Saturday against Pittsburgh.

Advice: Cave was hit in the head during batting practice Friday but returned to the lineup one day later. He participated in Colorado's 16-run offensive outburst in a significant way, and he now has at least one hit in each of his last four starts. Cave entered the lineup with Brenton Doyle (knee) scratched, though he may find consistent playing time hard to come by assuming Doyle doesn't require a stint on the injured list. • Resumes all activity
Rodgers (hamstring) has engaged in all baseball activities in recent days, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Rodgers has been running and hitting soft toss, though he took another step forward by doing light fielding drills Saturday. The team has said they expect Rodgers to return shortly after he's eligible and his current level of activity suggests he remains on track. Rotowire.com 30 minutes ago

    • Nine-game hitting streak
Diaz went 1-for-4 with a walk Saturday against Atlanta.

Advice: Diaz extended his hitting streak to nine games with the performance, during which he's collected multiple hits on five occasions. He's hitting .359 in that span, though his production has otherwise been empty as he has zero extra-base hits, one RBI and three runs scored. Diaz has managed only a .094 ISO across 309 plate appearances for the campaign, so his lack of power has not been a short-term issue. Rotowire.com 34 minutes ago
