    • Luis Robert (hip) heading to Triple-A on Tuesday
Luis Robert (hip) will start a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Charlotte.

Advice: Finally some good news for Chicago as their star outfielder will wrap up play in Arizona this week before heading out to face some higher minor-league competition next week. There isn’t an exact timetable for Robert to return, but he figures to rejoin the White Sox’ struggling lineup at some point in early June. Rotoworld 8 minutes ago

    • Eloy Jiménez (hamstring) facing ‘extended absence’
White Sox manager Pedro Grifol told reporters Thursday that Eloy Jiménez (hamstring) is facing an extended absence.

Advice: Grifol didn’t divulge a specific timeline, but it certainly sounds like Jiménez is going to wind up missing at least a couple months due to a left hamstring strain. The 27-year-old hasn’t gotten going at the dish this season after a strong spring training performance, posting a lackluster .668 OPS with five homers in 146 plate appearances. He can be safely dropped in all re-draft fantasy formats at this juncture. Rotoworld 9 minutes ago

    • Due for extended absence
Manager Pedro Grifol didn't have a specific timeline Thursday for Jimenez's (hamstring) return, but he said it would be an extended absence, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.

Advice: The news of the absence being extended comes with the White Sox finding out Jimenez 's hamstring was beat up a decent amount. Grifol guessed that the absence would be a little shorter than they have been without Luis Robert. Jimenez's injury occurred when he tweaked the hamstring while running the bases in Tuesday's game in Toronto. The 27-year-old was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a left hamstring strain. Rotowire.com 13 minutes ago

    • Beginning assignment Tuesday
Robert (hip) will begin playing in rehab games at Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.

Advice: Manager Pedro Grifol didn't specify exactly how long Robert will be in the minors, saying it will be a matter of getting him enough at-bats to get his timing down. The 26-year-old outfielder is currently playing in complex-league games in Arizona and seems to be trending toward a return in mid-June. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago

    • Jarred Kelenic homers, Braves shut out Cubs
Jarred Kelenic slugged a go-ahead solo homer on Thursday, powering the Braves to a 3-0 victory over the Cubs.

Advice: Kelenic connected for a tie-breaking fifth-inning solo shot to right-center field off Cubs reliever Hayden Wesneski. It was just third round-tripper of the season and wound up being one of just 10 hits combined in a rare low-scoring afternoon showdown at Wrigley Field. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

    • Nick Martini homers in extra-inning loss to Padres
Nick Martini went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in a loss in extra-innings to the Padres on Thursday.

Advice: Martini stirred things up (sorry) with his two-run shot, as it tied the game at 4-4 in the sixth inning. The 33-year-old has gone deep deep four times, but his line of .184/.204/.356 tells the story of how little fantasy value he offers. Pretty good pun at the start of this, however. • Adolis Garcia hits solo homer in loss to Phillies
Adolis Garcia hit a solo homer in a loss to the Phillies on Thursday.

Advice: Garcia took Zack Wheeler deep in the second inning. The 31-year-old slugger has gone deep a dozen times thus far in 2024 while driving in 36 runs over Texas’s first 51 games. He also drew a walk, and he’s now slashing .253/.300/.500. Garcia is a flawed player, but the power-production is going to make him relevant for a long time. Rotoworld Today, 1:20 pm

    • Nick Castellanos homers as Phillies top Rangers
Nick Castellanos went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in a 5-2 win for the Phillies on Thursday over the Rangers.

Advice: Castellanos extended the Phillies’ lead to 5-2 with a solo blast in the seventh inning. The veteran outfielder has been able to provide five homers thus far in 2024, and the pair of hits see his average increase to a still-disappointing .206 mark. Castellanos is a good bet to be (much) better over the final two-thirds of the 2024 campaign. Rotoworld Today, 1:20 pm

    • Rays waiting on Josh Lowe (side) IL decision
Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports the Rays will wait until Friday before making a decision whether Josh Lowe (side) will require a trip to the injured list.

Advice: Topkin added that an injured list stint seems likely, but Tampa Bay wants to wait and see how he feels on Friday before making a final decision. Rays manager Kevin Cash delivered an ominous “not ideal” statement to reporters following Lowe’s early exit from Wednesday’s game against the Red Sox due to right side tightness. The 26-year-old five-category impact fantasy contributor dealt with a similar issue back in spring training and underwent an MRI on Thursday to determine the severity of the issue. There should be an update on his status at some point prior to Friday’s series opener against the Royals. Rotoworld Today, 1:15 pm
