    • Three hits, two steals Monday
Abrams went 3-for-5 with a double, two stolen bases and two runs scored in Monday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Padres.

Advice: Abrams has posted a trio of three-hit games over his last four contests. He'd been less fortunate on the basepaths lately, going 1-for-4 on stolen base attempts over the previous five games before his two swipes Monday. The shortstop is putting together a strong breakout campaign with a .275/.325/.502 slash line, 12 home runs, 39 RBI, 47 runs scored and 15 thefts over 71 contests. Rotowire.com 8 minutes ago

    • Swats homer in loss
Senzel went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Padres.

Advice: Senzel went deep in the top of the 10th inning to give the Nationals a 6-3 lead, but the Padres rallied back for a walk-off. After starting June hot, Senzel has gone a mere 4-for-32 9.125) over his last 10 contests. The 28-year-old is slashing .218/.324/.385 with seven homers, 18 RBI, 22 runs scored and one stolen base over 207 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com 14 minutes ago

    • Jurickson Profar wins game in 10th for Padres
Jurickson Profar delivered the game-winner in the 10th as the Padres edged the Nationals 7-6 on Monday.

Advice: Profar’s lone hit in five at-bats seemed to hang in the air forever, but it was put in the perfect spot to elude Lane Thomas and Jacob Young in right-center. The two-run single — it would have been at least a double under normal circumstances — came after Luis Arraez was walked to load the bases. Profar has hit in eight straight games, but since he’s collected just nine hits in that span and he’s been so productive on the season, he’s lost 20 points of OPS during the stretch (.917 to .897). • Joey Meneses had three hits, three RBI in loss
Joey Meneses went 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI against the Padres on Monday.

Advice: Meneses still really needs a few more games like this, given his struggles to date, and though the Nationals won’t want to make the move, there’s the chance he’ll be optioned out after Joey Gallo comes off the IL. Meneses is currently hitting .246/.302/.327 for the season, though much like in 2023, he has made most of his contact; he’s driven in 40 runs in 67 games. Rotoworld 19 minutes ago

    • Clubs fifth homer
Nevin went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's 5-1 loss to the Angels.

Advice: Nevin provided the Athletics' lone run with his solo shot off Griffin Canning in the second inning. Over six games since he rejoined Oakland's 26-man roster, he's gone 3-for-18 (.167) with two RBI. The infielder is slashing .213/.300/.348 with five homers, 12 RBI, 13 runs scored, four doubles and one stolen base over 160 plate appearances. While Nevin's hitting is nothing special, he'll have a chance to claim a regular spot in the lineup while Abraham Toro (hamstring) is sidelined for at least a month. Rotowire.com 29 minutes ago

    • Homers in Monday's win
Ward went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Monday's 5-1 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Ward gave the Angels all the offense they needed with his first-inning blast. This was his 13th homer of the season, but it's just his second over the last 24 contests. The outfielder may be coming back around at the plate, as he's hit safely in four straight games, but he's at a .241/.326/.431 slash line with 40 RBI, 37 runs scored and three stolen bases through 75 contests overall. • Dealing with bacterial infection
Anderson is not with the team due to a lower body bacterial infection, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: Anderson hasn't been with Atlanta on the team's current road trip, and it sounds as though he'll remain out for at least a few more days. "So, he hasn't been with us the whole way, but we're just hoping that at some point, we get him back," said manager Brian Snitker. Anderson remains on the active roster, which means Atlanta is playing down a man. Rotowire.com 49 minutes ago

    • Luis Rengifo remains in after HBP, gets two hits
Luis Rengifo went 2-for-3 with two runs scored against the A’s on Monday.

Advice: Rengifo was hit in the wrist by a pitch in his first at-bat and was clearly in pain for a bit, but he was able to continue and pick up two knocks afterwards. He scored multiple runs in a game for the first time since May 28. Rotoworld Today, 9:37 pm

    • Jo Adell goes 0-for-4, hitting .111 in June
Jo Adell finished 0-for-4 against the A’s on Monday, leaving him 7-for-63 with one homer in June.

Advice: Adell looked like maybe the AL’s most improved player over the first quarter of the season, but he’s all of the way down to .181/.242/.386 now. At least his defensive gains have remained intact. The Angels ought to keep playing him regularly, probably for the rest of the season, but it’s certainly still up for debate whether he belongs in their plans for 2025 and beyond.
