    • Three hits in win
Duran went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Phillies.

Advice: Duran singled in the third inning, hit an RBI single and scored in the fifth. He then doubled in the sixth. Duran has been stellar through 10 games in June, hitting .357 with six extra-base hits, five RBI and four steals. He is doing a bit of everything in 2024, hitting .269 with five home runs, 28 RBI, 44 runs scored and 15 steals while hitting leadoff for the Red Sox. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:55 pm

    • Bobby Witt Jr. collects three hits in loss Wednesday
Bobby Witt Jr. went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBI against the Yankees on Wednesday.

Advice: Witt Jr. extended his hit streak to 13 games with a double in the sixth inning to drive in the first run of the game for the Royals. He then scored on a sacrifice fly by Salvador Perez. Witt Jr. drove in a second run with a single in the seventh before scoring on a bases loaded walk by Perez. The 23-year-old shortstop collected his third hit with an infield single in the ninth, ending his day slashing .326/.375/.563 with 11 homers, 58 runs scored, 50 RBI, and 19 steals across 307 plate appearances. • Logan O’Hoppe (groin) not in lineup on Wednesday
Logan O’Hoppe (groin) is not in the Angels’ starting lineup on Wednesday.

Advice: The 24-year-old backstop took a hard foul ball to the groin area on Tuesday, prompting his removal from the game. He’s still a bit sore on Wednesday so manager Ron Washington thought it would be wise to give him an extra night off. Matt Thaiss will do the catching for the Angels on Wednesday and will bat fifth against right-hander Slade Cecconi and the Diamondbacks. O’Hoppe should still be considered day-to-day. • Remains sidelined Wednesday
O'Hoppe (groin) isn't in the Angels' lineup Wednesday against the Diamondbacks, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: O'Hoppe had to leave Tuesday's game after getting hit below the belt by a foul tip, and he will remain out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest. Matt Thaiss will fill in behind the dish while batting fifth. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 3:28 pm
    • Hitting bench Wednesday
Yoshida is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Yoshida returned from the 10-day injured list Tuesday and started at designated hitter in Boston's 4-1 loss, going 0-for-2 with a walk. Though he should serve as Boston's primary DH now that he's healthy again, Yoshida will give way to Tyler O'Neill on Wednesday. O'Neill missed the Red Sox's previous three games and is being eased back into the lineup in a non-defensive role, but he should eventually see regular starts in the corner outfield to keep the DH spot open for Yoshida. • Departs with groin injury Tuesday
O'Hoppe was removed from Tuesday's loss to the Diamondbacks after taking a foul ball to the groin area, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: O'Hoppe writhed on the ground in pain for a few minutes after being struck by the foul ball in the sixth inning. He was eventually able to walk off the field with trainers but still appeared to be feeling the effects of the impact. It's not yet clear how much time -- if any -- the backstop will need to miss. • In lineup against lefty
Lowe started at first base and went 1-for-4 in Tuesday's 15-2 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Lowe, who had been held out of the starting lineup against the previous three left-handed starters the Rangers faced, was in the starting nine against lefty James Paxton. In those previous three games, Ezequiel Duran started at first base, but he was used at shortstop while Josh Smith was given a break and Corey Seager (hamstring) was unavailable. It's unclear if Lowe's start Tuesday signals that he's back in against lefties, or if it was a special case to give Smith a rest day. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:39 am
    • Stays hot in loss
Vaughn went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Vaughn has hit safely in his last 11 games, going 16-for-44 (.364) with three homers and five RBI in that span. The first baseman is up to a .226/.283/.372 slash line with seven long balls, 23 RBI, 23 runs scored and one stolen base across 62 contests. Vaughn hasn't been at risk of losing playing time in the White Sox's weak offense, but his recent play has positioned him as one of the team's better batters after he shook off his slow start to the campaign. • Logan O’Hoppe (groin) listed as day-to-day
Logan O’Hoppe said a major injury has been ruled out after he took a foul ball to the groin area during Tuesday’s game.

Advice: O’Hoppe was still hurting after the game, but it sounds like there’s a chance he could be ready to go on Wednesday. If not, Matt Thaiss will start. Rotoworld Tuesday, 10:26 pm
