    • Racks up three hits in loss
Witt went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs and two RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Though the Royals got trounced as a team, Witt showed off his potent bat with his seventh multi-hit effort over a hitting streak that has reached 13 games. The talented shortstop is batting an eye-opening .414 (24-for-58) during that stretch, raising his season batting average to .326, narrowly behind Luis Arraez for the best mark in the majors. Witt has been among fantasy's top performers this season, complementing the impressive batting average with 11 homers, 50 RBI, 58 runs and 19 stolen bases. Rotowire.com Thursday, 12:01 am
    • Three hits in win
Duran went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Phillies.

Advice: Duran singled in the third inning, hit an RBI single and scored in the fifth. He then doubled in the sixth. Duran has been stellar through 10 games in June, hitting .357 with six extra-base hits, five RBI and four steals. He is doing a bit of everything in 2024, hitting .269 with five home runs, 28 RBI, 44 runs scored and 15 steals while hitting leadoff for the Red Sox. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:55 pm

    • Bobby Witt Jr. collects three hits in loss Wednesday
Bobby Witt Jr. went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBI against the Yankees on Wednesday.

Advice: Witt Jr. extended his hit streak to 13 games with a double in the sixth inning to drive in the first run of the game for the Royals. He then scored on a sacrifice fly by Salvador Perez. Witt Jr. drove in a second run with a single in the seventh before scoring on a bases loaded walk by Perez. The 23-year-old shortstop collected his third hit with an infield single in the ninth, ending his day slashing .326/.375/.563 with 11 homers, 58 runs scored, 50 RBI, and 19 steals across 307 plate appearances. • Mason Miller serves up walk-off homer to Padres
Mason Miller allowed one run in the ninth inning on Wednesday and was saddled with a loss against the Padres.

Advice: Miller was called upon in a tie ballgame and wound up surrendering a walk-off solo shot to Padres rookie Jackson Merrill. It was just his first loss of the year and second run he’s allowed in four relief appearances this month. The flame-throwing 25-year-old righty has been one of the best high-leverage relievers in baseball and this looks like just a momentary hiccup in an otherwise stellar breakthrough campaign. • Michael King strikes out 12 on Wednesday vs. A’s
Michael King struck out a season-high 12 and allowed two runs over five innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Athletics.

Advice: King turned in one of his best outings of the year, generating an eye-popping 19 swinging strikes -- including 15 combined on his changeup and sweeper combination — and finished with a near-elite 39 percent CSW. The 29-year-old righty has allowed three earned runs or fewer in seven of his last eight starts since May 4. He’ll bring a solid 3.58 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 95/34 K/BB ratio across 83 innings (15 appearances, 14 starts) into a challenging road matchup on Tuesday against the red-hot Phillies. • Logan O’Hoppe (groin) not in lineup on Wednesday
Logan O’Hoppe (groin) is not in the Angels’ starting lineup on Wednesday.

Advice: The 24-year-old backstop took a hard foul ball to the groin area on Tuesday, prompting his removal from the game. He’s still a bit sore on Wednesday so manager Ron Washington thought it would be wise to give him an extra night off. Matt Thaiss will do the catching for the Angels on Wednesday and will bat fifth against right-hander Slade Cecconi and the Diamondbacks. O’Hoppe should still be considered day-to-day. • Remains sidelined Wednesday
O'Hoppe (groin) isn't in the Angels' lineup Wednesday against the Diamondbacks, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: O'Hoppe had to leave Tuesday's game after getting hit below the belt by a foul tip, and he will remain out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest. Matt Thaiss will fill in behind the dish while batting fifth. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 3:28 pm
    • Departs with groin injury Tuesday
O'Hoppe was removed from Tuesday's loss to the Diamondbacks after taking a foul ball to the groin area, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: O'Hoppe writhed on the ground in pain for a few minutes after being struck by the foul ball in the sixth inning. He was eventually able to walk off the field with trainers but still appeared to be feeling the effects of the impact. It's not yet clear how much time -- if any -- the backstop will need to miss. • Stays hot in loss
Vaughn went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Vaughn has hit safely in his last 11 games, going 16-for-44 (.364) with three homers and five RBI in that span. The first baseman is up to a .226/.283/.372 slash line with seven long balls, 23 RBI, 23 runs scored and one stolen base across 62 contests. Vaughn hasn't been at risk of losing playing time in the White Sox's weak offense, but his recent play has positioned him as one of the team's better batters after he shook off his slow start to the campaign.
