    • Goes seven strong
Nola (6-2) picked up the win Sunday against the Nationals, allowing three runs (two earned) on two hits and three walks across seven innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Nola completed at least seven innings for the fifth time in his last seven starts -- including a complete game shutout in his last appearance. Although the 31-year-old generated a quality start, he struggled with the long ball, as he allowed a two-run homer to Eddie Rosario in the fourth and a solo home run to Jesse Winker in the fifth. Nola hadn't yielded a homer in three straight starts before Sunday. He's lined up for a trip to Coors Field for a start Saturday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:21 pm
    • Knocks two extra-base hits
Witt went 2-for-3 with a triple, a double, two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's win over Oakland.

Advice: Witt drove in a run with a first-inning double before coming around to score. He later tripled before chipping in an RBI sacrifice fly. He entered Sunday in a 3-for-24 (.125) skid over his previous six games but snapped that with his 18th multi-hit performance of the year. Witt is now slashing .296/.356/.511 with 24 extra-base hits and 42 runs scored through 48 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:44 pm
    • Joining team in New York
Crawford (oblique) is set to join the Mariners ahead of their three-game series with the Yankees beginning Monday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Crawford appears to be ready to rejoin the major-league roster after being placed on the 10-day injured list with a Grade 1 right oblique strain April 25. The shortstop went 1-for-5 with a run scored during his short two-game rehab assignment, which was cut short after he was hit in the hand by a pitch Wednesday. Crawford has struggled to a .198/.296/.302 slash line with two homers, nine RBI and 13 runs scored over 86 at-bats in 22 games with Seattle this season. His return will likely push Dylan Moore out of the starting lineup. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:55 pm

    • Aaron Nola goes seven in victory over Nationals
Aaron Nola lasted seven innings and allowed three runs Sunday in beating the Nationals.

Advice: A strong follow-up to his shutout of the Mets, Nola gave up just two hits, which were homers to Eddie Rosario and Jesse Winker. He’s completed seven innings in five of his last seven starts, and he’s 6-2 with a 3.05 ERA for the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:20 pm
    • Should return this week
Mariners manager Scott Servais said Sunday that Crawford (oblique/hand) is expected to join the club at some point during the four-game series against the Yankees that begins Monday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The 29-year-old was unable to join the Mariners as expected in Baltimore this weekend after he was hit by a pitch on the hand during a rehab game Wednesday, but it appears his return will be delayed only a few days. Once activated from the injured list, Crawford should reclaim the starting job at shortstop from Dylan Moore. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:07 pm

    • J.P. Crawford expected back before end of week
J.P. Crawford (hand, oblique) is expected to return to the Seattle lineup at some point during their four-game series against the Yankees next week.

Advice: That series runs Monday-through-Thursday. Crawford has been on the shelf with an oblique strain, but then also suffered a hand injury after being hit by a pitch from Adam Kolarek during a rehab appearance for Triple-A Tacoma. The 29-year-old will be the starting shortstop and likely hit at the top of the Seattle lineup upon his return. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:37 am

    • Gets break Sunday
O'Hoppe is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: The 24-year-old will get a break as Matt Thaiss starts at catcher and bats sixth for Los Angeles' series finale against Texas. O'Hoppe has started the last seven games for the Angels, going 5-for-28 with five RBI and one home run. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:01 am

    • Makes impact late in win
Lowe went 0-for-4 with two RBI in Saturday's 3-2 extra-innings win over the Angels.

Advice: Lowe, who is hitless over his last 13 at-bats, was the late-game hero for the Rangers. He set up extra innings with an run-producing, eighth-inning sacrifice fly, then Lowe was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 13th for the walk-off win. The two RBI give him 14 over 26 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:07 am

    • Three hits out of leadoff spot
Soler went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 14-4 win over the Rockies.

Advice: This was the second game in a row Soler's hit leadoff, though the Giants may try any number of players there to replace Jung Hoo Lee (shoulder). Soler has gone 4-for-9 with a walk over two games since he came off the injured list. The 32-year-old is slashing .219/.308/.383 with five home runs, 10 RBI, 16 runs scored and six doubles over 146 plate appearances. If he sticks at leadoff, Soler's RBI production could dip, though he may score more often if he can get on base at a healthy clip. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:26 pm
