    • Not starting Thursday
Mountcastle isn't in the Orioles' lineup for Thursday's game versus Seattle.

Advice: Mountcastle went 1-for-4 with an RBI during his first game back from an illness Wednesday, and he'll now get another day to rest against Bryce Miller and the Mariners. Ryan O'Hearn will move to first base as a result, allowing Heston Kjerstad to serve as the DH. Rotowire.com Today, 10:15 am
    • Day off Thursday
Vaughn is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest in Cleveland.

Advice: It appears to be a routine day off for Vaughn. The White Sox are giving Gavin Sheets a start at first base while Vaughn gets some rest. Rotowire.com Today, 7:20 am

    • Takes no-decision Wednesday
Wheeler allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out seven over six innings in a no-decision versus the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: Wheeler has posted quality starts in eight of his last nine outings, the lone exception being an eight-run disaster at Baltimore on June 16. The right-hander left Wednesday's game with a lead, but Matt Strahm couldn't maintain it, though the Phillies went on to win 5-3 anyway. Wheeler is now at a 2.74 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 119:33 K:BB through 111.2 innings over 18 starts this season. He's projected for a tough home start versus the Dodgers in his next outing. • Bobby Witt Jr. on base three times in win
Bobby Witt Jr. went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI, two runs scored, and a walk on Wednesday against the Rays.

Advice: Witt paced the Royals in this one and was the engine for their offense. His third inning double got them on the board and a key walk in the seventh set Salvador Perez up for his huge two-run single to put this game out of reach. Witt remains one of the most productive and dependable players in baseball with a .314/.366/.543 slash line to go along with 13 home runs and 22 stolen bases. That’s not a bad first half for a 24-year-old. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:13 pm

    • Zack Wheeler whiffs seven in no-decision vs. Cubs
Zack Wheeler recorded seven strikeouts and allowed two runs over six innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Cubs.

Advice: Wheeler gave up only five hits with a pair of run-scoring doubles from Cubs rookie Pete Crow-Armstrong accounting for all of the damage against him across six frames. He induced 13 swinging strikes and finished with a 28 percent CSW. The 34-year-old fantasy ace has allowed two earned runs or fewer in 15 of his 18 starts so far this season. He’ll bring a stellar 2.74 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 119/33 K/BB ratio across 11 2/3 innings (18 starts) into a challenging home matchup against the Dodgers in his penultimate outing prior to the Midsummer Classic. • Jorge Soler doubles, scores against former team
Jorge Soler went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored on Wednesday against the Braves.

Advice: Soler seems to enjoy hitting lead-off. He’s hit safely in five straight games with six extra-base hits over that span since being put back atop the order. He’s very slowly gotten his feet wet after a miserable start to the season and we know how hot he can get once he finds his groove. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:00 pm

    • Masataka Yoshida plates two in win over Marlins
Masataka Yoshida went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI on Wednesday, powering the sizzling-hot Red Sox to a 7-2 blowout win over the Marlins.

Advice: Yoshida followed up a two-hit performance during Tuesday’s series opener at loanDepot park with a go-ahead run-scoring single in the third inning before tacking on a pivotal insurance run with a seventh-inning ground out. He also walked and scored a run in the ninth inning. The 30-year-old designated hitter, who missed a significant portion of the first half due to a thumb injury, has been scorching-hot at the dish recently, batting .440 (11-for-25) with four RBI over his last seven games. • Receiving Wednesday off
O'Hoppe is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: O'Hoppe is in the midst of a modest six-game hit streak and has gone 8-for-19 with two homers and three walks during that span, but he'll sit Wednesday after making five straight starts. Matt Thaiss will step in behind the plate to catch for righty Davis Daniel. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:41 pm

    • Ryan Mountcastle (illness) returns to action
Ryan Mountcastle (illness) returned to the Orioles’ starting lineup for Wednesday night’s battle against the Mariners.

Advice: Mountcastle sat out each of the team’s previous games due to illness, but he’s now feeling much better and is right back in there as the Orioles’ designated hitter and cleanup hitter. On the season, he’s hitting .273/.317/.460 with 11 homers and 40 RBI in 325 plate appearances over 78 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:39 pm
