      Jorge Soler and Luke Jackson are not expected to be active for Atlanta for Tuesday’s game against the Brewers.

      Advice: Atlanta added Soler and Jackson late Monday night, and while the two players are expected to be in Milwaukee, neither player is expected to be activated in time for the contest.       Soler isn't expected to be active for Tuesday's game in Milwaukee, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

      Advice: Atlanta acquired Soler and right-hander Luke Jackson from San Francisco on Monday in a deal sending lefty Tyler Matzek (elbow) and infielder Sabin Ceballos to San Francisco. While Soler and Jackson are expected to arrive in Milwaukee at some point Tuesday, neither player appears likely to join the club in time to be activated prior to first pitch. Both should be activated prior to the series finale against the Brewers on Wednesday.       Advice: Vaughn led off the seventh inning with his 12th home run of the season and his first since July 2. He's hit only .195 with seven RBI and six runs scored across 20 games in that span.       Wheeler (10-5) took the loss against the Yankees on Monday, allowing seven runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out six batters over five innings.

      Advice: Wheeler fell behind early, giving up three runs on a trio of solo homers over the first two frames. He got through the following two innings without additional damage but then collapsed in the fifth, surrendering four runs on four hits, including a double and a triple. The seven runs were the second-most Wheeler has given up this season, as were the three long balls.       Advice: Duran recorded his first stolen base since the All-Star break, and his 23rd steal ties him for ninth most in MLB this season. The 2024 All-Star has picked up right where he left off in the first half, hitting. 356 in 10 games since the break.       Yoshida went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer, four RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 14-7 win over the Mariners.

      Advice: Yoshida continued his hot stretch with another three hits on Monday and tying a season-high with four RBI. Over his last 20 games, Yoshida is hitting .347 with 20 RBI, and he's hit three of five home runs this season in that span. The 31-year-old has been playing regularly since returning from the injured list on June 11 and has settled into a key role in the middle of the Red Sox lineup.       Advice: The Kansas City shortstop slugged a pivotal grand slam off reliever John Brebbia in the eighth inning to give the Royals an 8-5 lead they wouldn't give up. Along with his monstrous homer, Witt also collected his second four-hit performance of the season to raise his AL-leading batting average to .347. The 24-year-old superstar has had a monumental month of July so far, hitting .488 (41-for-84) with seven homers, 22 runs scored and 21 RBI, as he enters the AL MVP discussion.     • Braves bring back Soler, Jackson in trade
      Braves acquired OF Jorge Soler and RHP Luke Jackson from the Giants for LHP Tyler Matzek and 3B Sabin Ceballos.

      Advice: Marcell Ozuna is locked in at DH, so this is a bet than Soler, who hasn’t played a single game in the field this year, can still cut it in left. Maybe that will work out, but it is pretty scary that he’s owed $26 million between 2025 and 2026. On the plus side, the Braves didn’t have to give up much in return for a legit bat. Jarred Kelenic figures to move to right field now and platoon with Adam Duvall. Eddie Rosario could lose his roster spot.
