    • M’s lose Bryan Woo to IL with hamstring strain
Mariners placed RHP Bryan Woo on the 15-day injured list with a right hamstring strain.

Advice: Woo has been phenomenal this season for Seattle, registering a microscopic 1.77 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 28/3 K/BB ratio across 40 2/3 innings (eight starts), but has struggled to stay healthy. The 24-year-old righty was lifted from the fourth inning of Monday’s start against the Rays with a right hamstring tightness, and a subsequent MRI revealed a low-grade strain. He’s going to miss at least a couple weeks, even with this being arguably the best-case scenario outcome. Rotoworld Today, 1:38 pm

    • Lands on IL with strained hamstring
The Mariners placed Woo on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right hamstring strain, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

Advice: It's being classified as a low-grade strain, so perhaps Woo has a chance to return when his 15 days are up or shortly after. Emerson Hancock would normally be the obvious candidate to step into the Mariners' rotation in Woo's place, but his status is unclear after he exited his last start at Triple-A Tacoma with lower-back tightness. Jhonathan Diaz, who's struggled at the big-league level this season (5.06 ERA, 1.88 WHIP) but has an 8-1 record and 3.26 ERA at Tacoma, is another candidate. Rotowire.com Today, 1:38 pm

    • Sitting out Tuesday
Stott is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Detroit.

Advice: Southpaw Tarik Skubal is getting the ball for the Tigers on Tuesday, so it's a sensible spot to give Stott a day off. Edmundo Sosa is handling second base for the Phillies on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Today, 1:15 pm

    • Posts 16th save
Megill earned a save against Texas on Monday, striking out two batters in a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: Megill hit a batter with two outs in his inning of work, but it didn't cost him any runs. The right-hander was able to notch his 10th straight successful save conversion -- he hasn't blown an opportunity since May 20. Megill has proven to be a more-than-adequate fill-in for rehabbing closer Devin Williams (back), as he's tied for eighth in MLB with 16 saves (in 17 opportunities) while posting a 1.85 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 30:7 K:BB through 24.1 innings. • Three hits, two steals Monday
Abrams went 3-for-5 with a double, two stolen bases and two runs scored in Monday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Padres.

Advice: Abrams has posted a trio of three-hit games over his last four contests. He'd been less fortunate on the basepaths lately, going 1-for-4 on stolen base attempts over the previous five games before his two swipes Monday. The shortstop is putting together a strong breakout campaign with a .275/.325/.502 slash line, 12 home runs, 39 RBI, 47 runs scored and 13 thefts over 70 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:30 pm

    • Trevor Megill records 16th save for Brewers
Trevor Megill was perfect in the ninth in earning his 16th save Monday against the Rangers.

Advice: Remember when it was Abner Uribe and then Joel Payamps getting saves for the Brewers. Megill didn’t earn his first until Apr. 25, so all 16 of his have come in a two-month span. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:15 pm

    • Bryan Woo to undergo MRI on ailing hamstring
Bryan Woo will undergo an MRI on his right hamstring on Tuesday.

Advice: Woo didn’t speak after the game. That he’s going for an MRI suggests that even if he gets good news, he’s still going to miss some time. Woo was pulled from his start Monday in the fourth after hurting his leg while throwing a pitch. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:07 pm

    • Bryan Woo exits due to hamstring tightness
Bryan Woo exited his start Monday with right hamstring tightness, according to the Mariners.

Advice: Everything is tightness initially now, so that seemingly positive diagnosis means nothing at the moment. If Woo needs to miss some time, but Mariners might go to Jhonathan Diaz in the rotation. Emerson Hancock is the usual fallback, but he’s dealing with a back problem at the moment. • Nursing hamstring injury
Woo was removed from Monday's game against the Rays due to right hamstring tightness.

Advice: Woo left his start with the team trainer after suffering what looked to be a right leg injury, and he's since been diagnosed with a hamstring issue. The team should have a better idea of whether he'll require a trip to the injured list after further evaluation, and he's set to undergo an MRI on Tuesday, per Daniel Kramer of MLB.com.
