    • Goes four frames in rehab start
      Miller (shoulder) tossed four-plus innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out two batters.

      Advice: This was Miller's third minor-league rehab appearance, and he's gradually worked up from three frames in his first rehab outing to four innings Friday. The righty hurler wasn't at his sharpest, but he approached a full workload with 85 pitches and sat at 97-98 mph with his fastball, per Eric Stephen of SBNation.com, after experiencing reduced velocity in his prior outing. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said prior to Miller's outing Friday that it could be the pitcher's final minor-league appearance before returning to the big club, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, but a decision on Miller's next step has not yet been announced.       Bobby Miller (shoulder) allowed two runs (one earned) over four innings on Friday in a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

      Advice: The positive news here for fantasy managers is that Miller averaged 97.4 mph on his four-seam fastball in this one and was able to generate nine swinging strikes, nearly all of them on his secondary offerings. He struck out two and also issued a pair of walks, needing 85 pitches (50 strikes) to get through four-plus frames.     • Fans six in sixth win
      Irvin (6-2) picked up the win Friday in a 6-3 victory over the Rays, giving up three runs (two earned) on eight hits over 5.2 innings. He struck out six without walking a battter.

      Advice: Three straight singles in the sixth inning kept Irvin from recording his fifth quality start of the season, but the southpaw did tie his season high in strikeouts. He hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in any of his last 10 appearances (eight starts) dating back to April 15, posting a 1.88 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 36:7 K:BB through 52.2 innings over that stretch.     • Irvin allows three runs and picks up win Friday
      Cole Irvin allowed three runs (two earned) in 5 2/3 innings and got the win in the Orioles’ 6-3 victory over the Rays on Friday.



      Advice: Irvin gave up eight hits, walked none and struck out six. The win was his sixth of the season. Irvin hasn’t allowed more than three earned runs since his second start of the year back on April 10th. His ERA on the season is now 2.87, though his 4.19 xFIP tells a different story. The 30-year-old left-hander will see if he can keep it going against the Braves at home next week.

    • Another rehab start coming
      Cole (elbow) will make a rehab start with Double-A Somerset on Sunday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Cole made his first rehab appearance Tuesday with Somerset, firing 3.1 scoreless innings with five strikeouts. He threw 45 pitches and touched 97 miles per hour, which is in line with his normal velocity.       Flaherty (back) said he expects to make his next start, which is scheduled for Tuesday against Washington, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

      Advice: Flaherty was pulled after 60 pitches in his last start due to back tightness, but it seems as though he's avoided any significant injury and is all but confirmed to face the Nationals. Considering back injuries can be touch and go, there remains a small risk that the issue will flare up again.       Advice: Woo threw a season-high 85 pitches Thursday, an encouraging sign for the 24-year-old after he missed all of April with elbow inflammation and exited his first start after his IL stint with forearm tightness. Even with a restricted pitch count, the right-hander has generated four consecutive quality starts and has fired 12 straight scoreless innings, giving him a 1.07 ERA and 24:2 K:BB through 33.2 innings.       Lopez allowed two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out seven batters over six innings in a no-decision against Washington on Thursday.

      Advice: Lopez held the Nationals scoreless until the sixth inning, when CJ Abrams and Lane Thomas tagged him for back-to-back solo homers. Lopez looked like he could be on the ropes when the following two batters singled, but the right-handed hurler got out of the jam without another run scoring. That allowed him to register his seventh quality start in what has been a career-best campaign. Lopez ranks third among qualified starters with a 1.85 ERA through 63.1 innings on the season.
