    • Paul Sewald notches 10th save against Twins
      Paul Sewald recorded his 10th save with a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday against the Twins.

      Advice: Sewald gave up a two-out double to Byron Buxton, putting the tying run on base. Ryan Jeffers followed with a stinging liner to left, but it was hit right to Lourdes Gurriel Jr., ending the game.     • Tosses 5.2 scoreless frames Monday
      Crochet took a no-decision against the Dodgers on Monday, allowing five hits and striking out six batters over 5.2 scoreless innings.

      Advice: Crochet was on his game with 16 whiffs and six punchouts against one of MLB's top offenses, but Dodgers starter James Paxton traded scoreless frames with him, and both hurlers had to settle for a no-decision. Crochet continues to impress in what has been a breakout first campaign as a starter -- he lowered his ERA to 3.05 with Monday's outing and ranks second in the league with 130 strikeouts.     • Blows second save
      Munoz was charged with a blown save Monday against Tampa Bay, allowing one hit and one walk with one strikeout in one-third of an inning.

      Advice: Munoz entered the game in the bottom of the eighth inning with two outs and runners on second and third. He walked Jose Caballero before allowing a two-run single to Yandy Diaz, giving the Rays a 4-3 lead. While Munoz blew the save, it is encouraging that he was called upon for the high-leverage situation over fellow closer Ryne Stanek, who pitched a scoreless seventh inning. The Mariners closer situation should still be considered a committee moving forward, with Munoz offering the most upside. Despite blowing the save, the 25-year-old has been dominant this season, compiling a 1.41 ERA, a 1.00 WHIP and a 43:11 K:BB over 32 innings, converting 13-of-15 save opportunities with six holds.     • Crochet strikes out six in scoreless start Monday
      Garrett Crochet allowed no runs in 5 2/3 innings and got a no-decision against the Dodgers on Monday.



      Advice: Crochet gave up five hits, walked none and struck out six. It was a pretty good effort considering he was facing the Dodgers, but the White Sox couldn’t score any runs to support Crochet. He was one out away from a quality start, breaking a streak of six consecutive quality starts. Crochet continues to build a potential Cy Young award case with a 3.05 ERA and 130 strikeouts on the season. There’s no doubt he’s been a fantasy MVP, though.     • Pitches two frames versus Cleveland
      Kikuchi (4-7) picked up a loss after he pitched two innings, giving up four runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out three batters in Sunday's 6-5 defeat to Cleveland.

      Advice: Kikuchi was once again ineffective on the mound Sunday, giving up one run in the first inning before the game went into a rain delay after he allowed another run to score and loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the third. Zach Pop replaced Kikuchi on the mound following the delay, allowing two of the inherited runners to score. Kikuchi has been in quite the rut for a while now, allowing 20 earned runs over 25.1 innings in his last six outings. The rough stretch has seen his ERA balloon from 2.64 to 4.00 on the year over 83.1 innings in 16 starts.     • Strikes out 10 in win
      Severino (5-2) allowed three hits and struck out 10 without walking a batter over six scoreless innings to earn the win Sunday over the Cubs.

      Advice: Severino was dealing, making a great rebound after getting touched up for six runs versus the Rangers in his last start. He's posted a quality start in four of his last six outings, allowing 14 runs (13 earned) with a 27:8 K:BB across 38.2 innings in that span. The right-hander is at a 3.29 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 71:31 K:BB through 90.1 innings across 15 starts, with Sunday's start being the fourth time he's avoided issuing a walk this season.     • Luis Severino dominates in victory over Cubs
      Luis Severino delivered a dominant performance in Sunday night’s victory over the Cubs, piling up 10 strikeouts over six innings of shutout baseball.

      Advice: The right-hander allowed just three hits on the night — all of them singles — and didn’t walk a batter. Severino generated 14 swings and misses on 102 pitches in the ballgame — seven of those on his heater which averaged 96.8 mph in the contest — while posting a CSW of 28 percent. Now 5-2 on the season, Severino will carry a 3.29 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and a 71/31 K/BB ratio (90 1/3 innings) into Sunday’s showdown against the Astros. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:21 pm
       
    • Resumes throwing off flat ground
      Harrison is progressing in his recovery from a right ankle sprain and had been playing catch off flat ground from up to 90 feet as of Saturday, MLB.com reports.

      Advice: While the fact that Harrison hasn't been shut down from activity one week after landing on the injured list is an encouraging sign, the Giants still aren't counting on the 22-year-old lefty to rejoin the rotation until July. With all of Harrison, Blake Snell (groin) and Keaton Winn (elbow) going on the IL within the past three weeks, the Giants are left with Logan Webb and Jordan Hicks as the only healthy members of their season-opening rotation.     • Yusei Kikuchi struggles before rain delay
      Yusei Kikuchi allowed four runs in two-plus innings on Sunday against the Guardians. He walked one, struck out three, and allowed eight hits in a loss.

      Advice: The rain came at a great time for Kikuchi who’d loaded the bases with no outs in the third inning. He’s given up at least four earned runs in three of his last six starts and seen his ERA balloon from 2.64 on May 21st to 4.00 after this game. Oddly enough, he threw his fastest pitch of the season in this one at 98.3 MPH. Kikuchi is, was, and will forever be an odd bird. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:33 pm
