    • Lifts ninth homer
Gurriel went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-3 loss to the Padres.

Advice: Gurriel has hit safely in nine of his last 11 games, going 10-for-37 (.270) with three homers in that span. He didn't start Friday, but he entered as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning and delivered with his ninth long ball of the campaign. The outfielder has added 37 RBI, 29 runs scored, three stolen bases and a .239/.282/.399 slash line over 252 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 57 minutes ago
    • Hit hard Friday
Pfaadt (2-5) allowed five runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out five over 5.1 innings to take the loss versus the Padres on Friday.

Advice: Even in pitcher-friendly Petco Park, Pfaadt was tagged for a season-high three home runs. He gave up back-to-back solo shots to Fernando Tatis and Jurickson Profar in the first inning and also yielded a two-run blast to Ha-Seong Kim in the sixth. This was the third start in a row where Pfaadt has given up four or more runs. He's now at a 4.60 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 76:15 K:BB through 78.1 innings across 13 starts. The right-hander is projected to make his next start at home versus the Angels. Rotowire.com Today, 10:46 pm
    • Secures first career win
Miller (1-0) struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the win Friday over the Blue Jays.

Advice: The win was Miller's first in the majors, which came in his 32nd career appearance. He kept the game tied at 1-1 in the top of the ninth inning before JJ Bleday swatted a walk-off solo home run in the Athletics' half of the frame. While Miller's been scored on in three of his last six outings, he's still sporting a 2.20 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 54:11 K:BB through 28.2 innings this season. He's also gone 12-for-13 in save chances for a team that hasn't had a ton of leads to protect. Rotowire.com Today, 9:34 pm

    • Gavin Lux finishes 0-for-5 against Yankees
Gavin Lux finished 0-for-5 against the Yankees on Friday.

Advice: Lux wasn’t too bad from late April through the end of May, but he is 2-for-17 this month, leaving him at .204/.257/.281 overall. If things don’t turn around, the Dodgers will have to think about going with Miguel Rojas at short and Mookie Betts at second after Max Muncy is back. Really, they could just make the change now by calling up Andre Lipcius to play third. Rotoworld Today, 7:55 pm

    • Anthony Rizzo goes 0-for-5 in loss to Dodgers
Anthony Rizzo popped out with the tying run on base to conclude a Yankees loss and an 0-for-5 game against the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: The Yankees might want to give one of their outfielders a crash course at first base with Rizzo showing no sign of turning things around and Jasson Domínguez making strides in his return from Tommy John. Rizzo has opened June 1-for-25, putting him at .228/.289/.344 for the season. Rotoworld Today, 7:55 pm

    • Correa has two more hits Friday
Carlos Correa went 2-for-3 against the Pirates on Friday.

Advice: It was a quiet night for the Twins offense as they were shutout by Mitch Keller and the Pittsburgh bullpen. Correa added two more hits to his ledger. He also hit second in the order, which is the spot ahead of Royce Lewis. Correa is no longer a star or even an All-Star, but he’s quietly having a nice season as long as he can continue to stay healthy. Rotoworld Today, 6:22 pm

    • Throwing off flat ground
Snell (groin) began throwing off flat ground Friday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: Assuming Snell has no issues with flat-ground throwing, the plan is for him to begin mound work at some point next week. It's still unclear if the 31-year-old southpaw will be able to return from the IL when eligible June 18, but some clarity may come once he's thrown a few bullpen sessions. Rotowire.com Today, 3:29 pm

    • Throwing long toss
Maeda was seen throwing long toss Friday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Advice: Maeda was removed from his start Wednesday after just two pitches with right abdominal discomfort. McCosky also reports that Maeda reported mild soreness in hs abdomen during the session but the pain wasn't enough to prevent him from progressing toward his next start, which is scheduled for Wednesday. • Getting day off
Gurriel is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Gurriel will get a breather Friday after making five straight starts in left field. Jake McCarthy will slide to left while Randal Grichuk steps into right field. Rotowire.com Today, 12:28 pm
