    • Bobby Miller strikes out four in no-decision
Bobby Miller pitched decently in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday evening, allowing two runs on four hits over his five innings of work.

Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander punched out four batters on the night while issuing three free passes. All of the damage done against him came on one mighty swing of the bat by Christian Walker in the fourth inning. Miller generated 10 swings and misses on 90 pitches on the night — seven of those on his heater which averaged 96.5 mph — while posting a CSW of 23 percent. Miller now sports a 6.12 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and a 25/15 K/BB ratio over 25 innings through his first six starts on the season. He’ll look to get back in the win column when he squares off against the Brewers at home on Sunday. Rotoworld 36 minutes ago
    • Goes five innings in no-decision
Miller allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four over five innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Miller was responsible for a game-tying two-run home run by Christian Walker in the fourth inning. This was Miller's third start since he returned from shoulder inflammation, but he's given up 10 runs over 13.1 innings with a 7:9 K:BB across those outings. Overall, he's at a 6.12 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 25:15 K:BB through 25 innings over six starts this season. Miller is still likely trying to find a rhythm after a two-month absence. With his next start projected to be against either Milwaukee or Philadelphia -- the other two National League division leaders besides the Dodgers -- fantasy managers may want to take a wait-and-see approach with Miller in the short term. • George Springer homers in win
George Springer went 1-for-4 with three RBI in a win over the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: It’s been a good stretch for Springer of late, hitting .334 over his last 11 games with four home runs, 13 RBI, and one steal. He’s been making consistent contact all season but failing to lift the ball, which has limited his upside, but perhaps this recent stretch is the beginning of a bit of a resurgence. He remains in the lower third of the lineup, which will impact his run totals and he may struggle to top last year’s batting average and home run totals, but he should be a solid contributor in deeper fantasy formats, provided the Blue Jays don’t trade away a lot of their lineup at the deadline. • Trea Turner homers twice in win over Cubs
Trea Turner went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Cubs.

Advice: Turner hit a solo homer in the top of the third inning to give the Phillies a 3-0 lead and later returned to hit a two-run shot in the fifth inning to push the lead to 5-1. The Phillies start shortstop now has five homers on the season and has hit safely in five of his last six games. Turner is slashing a solid .338/.386/.487 on the season but hasn’t offered much as far as steals are concerned, which could be chalked up to the hamstring injury he returned from a few weeks ago. • Soler hits 10th homer of season to down Braves
Jorge Soler went 1-for-5 with a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Braves.

Advice: Soler hit his 10th homer of the season on Tuesday night when he hit a 407-foot shot off Reynaldo López to give the Giants their first run of the game. Soler has now hit in three straight games and has driven in three RBI over that span while tallying five extra-base hits. The recent power surge is an encouraging sign for the veteran DH, who entered the day slashing .230/.311/.398. Rotoworld Today, 7:26 pm
    • Swipes ninth bag
Springer went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Monday's loss to the Astros.

Advice: The veteran outfielder extended his hitting streak to six games while pilfering his ninth bag of the year in nine attempts. Springer is batting .550 (11-for-20) with two doubles, three homers, four runs and 10 RBI during his heater, but he still has a long way to go climb out of his early-season hole -- his .641 OPS is well below his .824 career mark. • Tallies three hits in loss
Hernandez went 3-for-4 with a double and a run Sunday in a loss to San Francisco.

Advice: Hernandez accounted for three of the Dodgers' eight hits in the contest as he recorded his first multi-hit performance since May 29. The utility man has remained an inconsistent part of the team's lineup despite injuries to Max Muncy (oblique) and Mookie Betts (wrist). Hernandez has started just three of the Dodgers' past seven games, and he carries a mediocre .208/.274/.312 slash line along with four homers and 12 RBI over 190 plate appearances on the campaign. • Posts quality start Sunday
Pfaadt allowed one run on five hits and two walks while striking out eight over six innings Sunday against the Athletics. He did not factor into the decision.

Advice: Pfaadt carried a shutout into the fifth inning before serving up a solo home run to Zack Gelof to tie the game at 1-1. That was the lone mark against him, though it was enough to cost him a chance at the win after the Diamondbacks didn't take the lead back until the bottom of the seventh. Sunday was the third time in June Pfaadt punched out eight batters, but it came on the heels of consecutive starts in which he combined for just two strikeouts in 12.2 innings. Length has been a strength for Pfaadt, as he's gone at least six innings in 13 of his last 15 starts. The 25-year-old owns a 4.28 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 94:26 K:BB in 103 innings and lines up for his next start against division-rival Padres over the weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:28 am
    • Re-entering rotation Wednesday
Jones is listed as the Pirates' starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals at PNC Park.

Advice: Jones will slot back into the rotation for the first time since June 22 after the Pirates opted to skip his turn this past week. The decision to bypass Jones' turn wasn't based on any injury; instead, the Pirates are cognizant of keeping the 23-year-old right-hander's workload in check during his first season in the majors. The Pirates haven't offered up a firm innings limit for Jones in 2024 nor outlined their plans on when/if he might be skipped again, but fantasy managers shouldn't hesitate to keep him active when he's confirmed to start. Though he's had more trouble keeping walks in check in his recent starts compared to earlier in the campaign, Jones will still head into his 16th start of the season Wednesday with stellar ratios (3.66 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 19.4 K-BB%).
