    • Solid in no-decision
Cecconi did not factor into the decision in Saturday's win over the Mets, allowing one run on five hits and no walks with four strikeouts over 4.2 innings.

Advice: Cecconi was recalled from Triple-A Reno after Zac Gallen (hamstring) was placed on the injured list and looked sharp despite posting a 8.41 ERA and 1.38 WHIP in four May appearances. His only blemish was a solo home run by Mark Vientos to lead off the fifth inning, but he was pulled at 71 pitches and unable to qualify for the win. On the season, Ceconni now owns a 5.59 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 26:8 K:BB through 37 innings and should remain in the rotation as long as Zac Gallen is on the shelf. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago
    • Strikes out 10 in loss
Manaea (3-2) took the loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday, allowing six runs (five earned) on six hits and two walks with 10 strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Manaea tossed two scoreless frames before Christian Walker hit a grand slam in the third inning and then surrendered two more runs and exited with two outs in the sixth . The 10 strikeouts were a season high for Manaea, and it was the first outing in which he has allowed more than three earned runs since April 13. Through 11 starts, Manaea has posted a 3.63 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 57:24 K:BB and tentatively lines up to face the Phillies next weekend in the London Series. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago

    • Strikes out 10 in loss
Gray (7-3) took the loss Saturday versus the Phillies, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out 10 over five innings.

Advice: Gray reached double-digit strikeouts for the second time in 10 starts this year, but he received little run support after a shaky first inning. The right-hander has allowed at least four runs in three of his last five outings. For the season, he's at a 3.00 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 77:15 K:BB over 57 innings. Gray is projected to make his next start at home versus the Rockies. Rotowire.com 34 minutes ago

    • X-rays come back negative for Ranger Suárez
X-rays on the injured thumb of Phillies’ left-hander Ranger Suárez came back negative for any fractures on Saturday.

Advice: Phillies’ skipper Rob Thomson told reporters that Suárez is still dealing with some swelling in his thumb but that the team feels fortunate to have dodged any serious injuries. He’s slated to take the mound against the Mets next weekend in London, but it’s still unclear whether or not he’ll be able to take the hill. Fantasy managers should be sure to have a contingency plan in place for next week in the event that Suárez isn’t ready in time. Rotoworld 58 minutes ago

    • Sent down after poor start
Detmers (3-6) took the loss Saturday against the Mariners, allowing five runs on four hits and four walks with three K's in 3.2 innings. He was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake after the start.

Advice: Detmers started the season as one of the Angels' top starters and garnered wins in each of his first three starts, striking out 26 batters with two runs allowed across 17.1 innings. However, he hasn't gotten in the win column since and has yielded at least three runs in eight straight starts. Outside of a decent 8.9 K/9 across 40.1 innings, nothing has been working for Detmers lately, allowing 10 long balls and 20 walks over that stretch. The 24-year-old was a reliable arm for Los Angeles the past two seasons and it's possible that a Triple-A stint will help the southpaw regain some confidence and find his previous form. For now, Detmers will give up his spot in the rotation and on the 26-man roster. A corresponding move has yet to be announced. Rotowire.com Today, 7:51 pm

    • Angels option Reid Detmers to Triple-A Salt Lake
Angels optioned LHP Reid Detmers to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Advice: The 24-year-old southpaw was hit hard again in Saturday’s loss to the Mariners — giving up five runs over 3 2/3 innings — and that was apparently the last straw. Detmers has posted a miserable 6.14 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and a 70/27 K/BB ratio over 63 innings through 12 starts on the season. He’ll work to refine his craft at the Triple-A level before hopefully rejoining the Angels’ rotation later in the season. No word yet on what the Angels plan to do to fill that void in their rotation. Rotoworld Today, 7:48 pm

    • Detmers allows five runs in loss Saturday
Reid Detmers allowed five runs in 3 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Mariners on Saturday.

Advice: Detmers gave up four hits, walked four and struck out three. He continues to struggle as he’s now allowed at least four runs in seven of his last eight starts. Detmers hasn’t won a game since winning his first three starts of the season. His ERA is now the worst it’s been all year at 6.14. The 24-year-old left-hander is set to face the Astros at home next week, but he’s best left on the bench until further notice. Rotoworld Today, 7:32 pm

    • Solid in fourth straight win
Lively (5-2) earned the win against the Nationals on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk with four strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Lively fired three scoreless frames before allowing two runs in the fourth inning and left the game just shy of a quality start after allowing a two-out single to Lane Thomas in the sixth. This was Lively's fourth win in as many games, and he has not allowed more than three runs in any of his nine starts this season. Lively will take a 2.84 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 47:15 K:BB into a road matchup against the Marlins next weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 7:31 pm

    • Wild in loss
Parker (4-3) took the loss to the Guardians on Saturday, allowing three runs on four hits and four walks with five strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Parker loaded the bases and allowed a two-run single to Kyle Manzardo in the first inning and surrendered another run in the third when Jose Ramirez scored on a wild pitch. Parker's four walks were a season high, but he was still able to pitch into the sixth and has not allowed more than three runs in any of his nine starts this season. Parker will take a 3.60 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 43:12 K:BB into a home matchup against Atlanta next week. Rotowire.com Today, 7:30 pm
