    • Austin Riley stays hot with another homer
Austin Riley went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored, and two walks on Friday against the Yankees.

Advice: Riley’s OPS has climbed from .618 to .744 in exactly one week. That is truly remarkable. It already feels like his putrid April and May will be a distant memory soon. If there was any question, the buy-low window on Riley has slammed shut. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

    • Josh Naylor with two hits and two RBI
Josh Naylor went 2-for-4 with a double, single, and two RBI on Friday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Naylor, known for hitting the ball hard, started the Guardians seven-run second inning with an 11 pitch at-bat that wound up as a cheap double and ended the rally with a dribbler that plated two runs. But hey, that’s baseball. Naylor seems to be heating up with hits in nine of his last 11 games. Rotoworld Today, 6:49 pm

    • Completes seven innings in loss
Fedde (5-2) took the loss to the Tigers on Friday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk with three strikeouts over seven innings.

Advice: Fedde allowed a two-run home run to Carson Kelly but was otherwise excellent, retiring the final 14 batters he faced. Despite the loss, this was Fedde's third consecutive quality start, and he has now yielded fewer than three earned runs in 12 of 16 outings this year. Fedde owns a 3.05 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 86:24 K:BB over 94.1 innings in what has been the best season of his career to this point . He tentatively lines up to face the Dodgers next week. • Erick Fedde pitches well in loss to Tigers Friday
Erick Fedde pitched well in a losing effort against the Tigers on Friday night, allowing just two runs on five hits over seven strong innings of work.

Advice: The right-hander punched out three batters on the evening while issuing only one base on balls. All of the damage done against him came on one mighty swing of the bat by Carson Kelly on a 2-1 sweeper in the second inning. He settled in beautifully after that and retired the final 14 batters that he faced in the contest, but the White Sox were unable to provide the requisite support. Fedde got 12 whiffs on 92 pitches on the night — six on his sinker — while registering a CSW of 25 percent. He’ll carry a 5-2 record, 3.05 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and an 86/24 K/BB ratio (94 1/3 innings) into Wednesday’s showdown against the Dodgers. Rotoworld Today, 5:56 pm

    • Not starting Friday
Perkins is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Perkins has struggled over his last 10 games, going 4-for-31 with a 34.3 percent strikeout rate, and he has not recorded a hit over his last four games. Sal Frelick, Jackson Chourio and Christian Yelich will man the outfield Friday while Tyler Black serves as the designated hitter against Padres right-hander Dylan Cease. • Rockies place Charlie Blackmon on 10-day IL
Rockies placed OF Charlie Blackmon on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain.

Advice: The 37-year-old was pulled from Tuesday’s game against the Dodgers due to the injury and then sat out the final two games of that series. The severity of the strain — as well as how much time he may miss — are not yet known. Sam Hilliard was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 3:13 pm

    • Lands on IL with strained hamstring
The Rockies placed Blackmon on the 10-day injured list Friday, retroactive to June 19, due to a right hamstring strain.

Advice: Blackmon missed the last three games after injuring his hamstring Tuesday against the Dodgers. Prior to the injury, Blackmon was slashing .333/.397/.509 with 10 runs, seven doubles and two RBI over 57 at-bats in June. In Blackmon's absence, Jake Cave and Sean Bouchard are likely to form a platoon in right field. Rotowire.com Today, 3:05 pm

    • Remains out of action
Blackmon (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: It's the third straight contest he's missed as he deals with right hamstring tightness. The Rockies have been bullish on Blackmon's chances of avoid the injured list, but he'll have to be ready soon for that to happen. Hunter Goodman is at designated hitter and Sean Bouchard is in right field Friday. Rotowire.com Today, 12:48 pm

    • Smacks 10th homer
Ramos went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: The outfielder has been on a power surge with four homers over his last seven games, and he's added 11 RBI in that span. Ramos leads the Giants with 10 long balls this season, and every other player on the team with at least five homers has played in a minimum of 50 games compared to his 39. Ramos has added a .307/.382/.553 slash line with 35 RBI, 17 runs scored, one stolen base and seven doubles across 170 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 10:18 am
