    • Struggles with command
      Anderson (7-7) picked up the win Tuesday against Oakland, allowing three runs on five hits and five walks across five innings. He struck out two.

      Advice: Walks have been an especially pertinent issue for Anderson as of late, with Tuesday's start being his third time issuing five free passes in six appearances. Despite finding the strike zone on just 62 of his 109 pitches, Anderson was good enough at limiting damage to pull out his seventh victory of the season. Still, when the A's made contact, they hit Anderson hard. Three of the 34-year-old's five hits surrendered went for extra bases, with Brent Rooker clubbing a solo homer in the fifth frame.       Advice: Profar gave the Padres the extra cushion they ultimately needed when he slugged a grand slam in the sixth inning. The Nationals attempted a comeback but fell short. After a brief absence with a knee injury over the weekend, Profar has resumed his hot hitting --he's 10-for-36 (.278) with nine RBI during his nine-game hitting streak.       Suarez allowed an unearned run on one hit and struck out one over one inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Nationals.

      Advice: Suarez has converted his last three save chances after a blown save June 18 versus the Phillies. He's now at 20 saves on the year, and he's the fifth pitcher in the majors to reach that milestone in 2024. Of those top-tier closers, Suarez's 1.09 ERA is second only to Cleveland's Emmanuel Clase (0.70). Suarez has also maintained a 0.79 WHIP and 30:6 K:BB over 33 innings this season.       Jurickson Profar hit a grand slam Tuesday in the Padres’ 9-7 takedown of the Nationals.

      Advice: This game had a little bit of everything, including a benches-clearing incident, a manager ejection, some extended player admiration of home runs, ugly defense, boneheaded baserunning and 16 runs in all. What it didn’t have was strikeouts; the teams totaled just five, and Nationals hitters went the first eight innings without any at all. Profar, coming off a walkoff hit Monday, was involved in the early confrontation that emptied the dugouts and then immediately was hit by a pitch after warnings were issued. Immediately after that, he scored on a Manny Machado homer. His slam, a line-drive homer down the right field line, was the fourth of his career.       Robert Suarez recorded his 20th save after allowing an unearned run in the ninth Tuesday against the Nationals.

      Mark Vientos went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in a 9-7 win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

      Advice: Vientos’ power is legit and he now has nine home runs on the year and six in 19 games in June. Vientos is also hitting 19-for-69 (.275) in June while taking over the Mets’ starting third base role.     • Aaron Judge hits grand slam in loss
      Aaron Judge went 2-for-3 with a walk and five RBI in a loss to the Mets on Tuesday.

      Advice: Judge had an RBI double in the seventh inning with the Yankees down by seven but then crushed a 390-foot grand slam at 109.4 mph that brought the Yankees within two. While the bottom of the Yankees lineup may not be particularly deep, they still have Aaron Judge, which will always make them a threat. The big right fielder now has 29 home runs and 75 RBI already this season, which seems like video game numbers. You’re feeling great if you were able to take him with your first-round pick.       Josh Naylor is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Orioles.
