    • Byron Buxton not in Twins’ lineup on Friday
Byron Buxton is not in the Twins’ starting lineup for Friday night’s soiree against the Mariners in Seattle.

Advice: The Twins have been sure to mix in the occasional off-day into Buxton’s schedule this season as a way to keep him healthy and fresh. It’s an interesting spot for one though after he went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer on Thursday afternoon. Expect him to return to the starting lineup on Saturday. Rotoworld Today, 2:21 pm
    • Receiving breather
Buxton is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Seattle.

Advice: Buxton has 11 hits in his last seven games, including three homers and four doubles. However, he'll take a seat Friday after making five consecutive starts. Manuel Margot will bat eighth and play center field. Rotowire.com Today, 2:16 pm
    • Starting Friday
Correa (wrist) is playing shortstop and batting second Friday against Seattle.

Advice: Correa was removed from Thursday's game after being hit by a pitch, but he won't require a day off due to the bruised right wrist. He went 4-for-9 with four runs and two RBI during the Twins' three-game series against Arizona. Rotowire.com Today, 2:10 pm

    • Carlos Correa (wrist) returns to lineup on Friday
Carlos Correa (wrist) returned to the Twins’ starting lineup for Friday night’s series opener against the Mariners.

Advice: The 29-year-old shortstop was drilled in the right wrist by a fastball during Thursday’s game against the Diamondbacks. Correa told reporters afterwards that he was fine though and that he planned to play on Friday, and true to his word he’s in the lineup and batting second against Logan Gilbert and the M’s on Friday evening in Seattle. On the season, Correa is slashing a healthy .309/.380/.494 to go along with eight homers and 38 RBI in 267 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 2:08 pm

    • Takes tough loss
Lively (7-4) took the loss against the Royals on Thursday, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk over six innings while striking out five.

Advice: Lively was sharp for most of the contest and didn't allow a runner to reach second base until the fifth inning when Nick Loftin walked, then advanced on a steal. Unfortunately for the right-hander, his luck would run out in the following frame after he surrendered back-to-back triples, eventually leading to two runs coming home for Kansas City. The outing marked Lively's first quality start this month, but he's allowed two or fewer runs in six of his last seven outings. He's also lost two of his last three starts after previously winning five straight. Rotowire.com Today, 4:31 am

    • Remains white hot
Buxton went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and two additional runs scored Thursday against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Buxton posted a three-hit day with a dinger for the second time in three games. The center fielder has now collected multiple hits in six of his last 16 starts, batting .355 (22-for-62) with nine extra-base hits including four homers, 14 RBI, 14 runs scored and three steals during that stretch. • Posts another big performance
Mullins went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional run and a double in an 11-2 win over the Rangers on Thursday.

Advice: Mullins belted a two-run homer in the fourth inning to give Baltimore an 8-1 lead. It was his second long ball in as many games, and the outfielder finished with his sixth multi-hit effort over his past eight contests. Over that stretch, Mullins is batting a scorching .452 with three home runs, six RBI, nine runs and three stolen bases. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:00 pm

    • Lively strikes out five in loss to Royals Thursday
Ben Lively allowed two runs in six innings and took the loss against the Royals on Thursday.

Advice: Lively gave up six hits, walked one and struck out five. He continues to pitch pretty well, but the Guardians only provided one run in support of his effort. Lively has a 3.03 ERA on the season. The 32-year-old right-hander is set to face the White Sox at home next week.

    • Byron Buxton blasts bomb in blowout
Byron Buxton hit a three-run homer while going 3-for-4 in a 13-6 rout of the Diamondbacks on Thursday.

Advice: Buxton also scored three runs. The three-run blast came off Scott McGough and gave Minnesota a 11-0 lead and it travelled 456 feet. The outfielder is starting to pick things up offensively, and he’s picked up three hits in two of his last three games while improving his slash to .261/.311/.449. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:45 pm
