• Loses 40-man roster spot
The White Sox designated Remillard for assignment Tuesday.

Advice: The move frees a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of Duke Ellis. It's the third time since January that Remillard has been designated for assignment. He cleared waivers and stuck around the other two times and will probably do so again. Rotowire.com 48 minutes ago

  • Abreu (ankle) hopeful for minimum stint on IL
Wilyer Abreu (ankle) told reporters Tuesday that he’s hopeful he can return from the injured list after the minimum 10 days passes.

Advice: Abreu was placed on the 10-day injured list with his ankle sprain prior to Tuesday’s game. The outfielder told reporters that an MRI revealed a good deal of inflammation, but no structural damage. The Red Sox will obviously take the necessary precautions, but there’s a chance Abreu is back as the starting right fielder for the Red Sox in the middle of June. Rotoworld 53 minutes ago

  • Back in big leagues
The White Sox recalled DeLoach from Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.

Advice: DeLoach went hitless through five at-bats to begin his big-league career upon his promotion last month. He might see a little more action this time around with Andrew Benintendi (Achilles), Tommy Pham (ankle) and Dominic Fletcher (shoulder) all injured. Rotowire.com 53 minutes ago
  • Lands on IL with shoulder injury
The White Sox placed Fletcher on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to June 3, with a left shoulder strain.

Advice: Fletcher sustained the injury during Sunday's game in Milwaukee while he robbed a potential home run at the outfield wall. It's unclear how long he might be out. Rotowire.com 56 minutes ago
  • Out Tuesday, still DTD
Tucker (lower leg) isn't part of the Astros starting lineup Tuesday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Tucker will get the day off after fouling a ball off his right shin Monday night. While X-rays came back negative and manager Joe Espada said Tucker is "feeling better", the outfielder will continue to have his leg examined to ensure that he's merely dealing with a bruise. The Astros could opt to sit Tucker on Wednesday considering it has a team day off Thursday. Rotowire.com 56 minutes ago

  • Placed on IL with sprained ankle
The White Sox placed Pham on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to June 3, with a left ankle sprain.

Advice: Pham actually suffered the injury during Sunday's game versus the Brewers during the play at home plate involving William Contreras which resulted in both benches clearing. It's not clear how long Pham might be sidelined. Rotowire.com 58 minutes ago
  • Officially activated from IL
The White Sox activated Robert (hip) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Robert wound up missing more than two months of action with a Grade 2 right hip flexor strain. The center fielder went just 3-for-27 during eight rehab games, although two of those hits were home runs. Robert is not expected to be an everyday player right out of the chute upon his activation, as he will have some extra off days mixed in as he eases back into things. He is, however, in Tuesday's lineup versus the Cubs, batting third and playing center field. Rotowire.com Today, 12:42 pm
  • Zach Remillard gets boot from 40-man roster
White Sox designated INF Zach Remillard for assignment.

Advice: Remillard is removed from the active and 40-man rosters with Duke Ellis having his contract selected from Double-A Montgomery. Assuming Remillard goes unclaimed, he will likely report back to Triple-A Charlotte as a depth piece. Rotoworld Today, 12:39 pm

  • White Sox recall Zach DeLoach from Triple-A
White Sox recalled OF Zach DeLoach from Triple-A Charlotte.

Advice: DeLoach is one of three new outfielders up for the White Sox on Tuesday; joining Luis Robert Jr. (hip) and Duke Ellis. DeLoach went just 0-for-5 in a very limited sample size the last time he was up, but he could be in for more playing time due to the injuries of Tommy Pham (ankle) and Dominic Fletcher (shoulder).
