  • Abreu (ankle) hopeful for minimum stint on IL
    Wilyer Abreu (ankle) told reporters Tuesday that he’s hopeful he can return from the injured list after the minimum 10 days passes.

    Advice: Abreu was placed on the 10-day injured list with his ankle sprain prior to Tuesday’s game. The outfielder told reporters that an MRI revealed a good deal of inflammation, but no structural damage.     Advice: Robert wound up missing more than two months of action with a Grade 2 right hip flexor strain. Robert is not expected to be an everyday player right out of the chute upon his activation, as he will have some extra off days mixed in as he eases back into things.
