    • Yainer Diaz does 2-for-4, scores twice in loss
Yainer Diaz went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI against the Angels on Monday.

Advice: Diaz was also robbed of a possible homer by Jo Adell at the right field wall in the ninth. That was actually his softest hit ball of the night. His EVs in the game were 110.7 mph, 107.8 mph, 103.7 mph and 98.4 mph. His hard-hit rate now stands at 51%, which is particularly impressive in combination with a 14% strikeout rate. • Loses perfect ERA
Holmes (1-1) allowed four runs on four hits and two walks while taking a loss against the Mariners on Monday. He blew a save chance and recorded only two outs.

Advice: Holmes entered Monday with zero earned runs allowed through 20 innings this season. Seattle chipped away at him with singles and walks to plate four runs and take the lead in the ninth inning. Holmes' ERA jumped to 1.74 as he was handed his first loss of the year. He's converted 13 of his 15 save chances while registering a 23:6 K:BB through 20.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:24 pm
    • Holmes blows second save Monday
Clay Holmes blew his second save of the season against the Mariners on Monday.

Advice: Holmes hadn’t allowed an earned run all season. He entered with a 4-1 lead against the Mariners. After a Josh Rojas ground to begin the ninth inning, the floodgates opened. Julio Rodriguez hit an infield single. Cal Raleigh walked. Luke Raley hit an infield single and Gleyber Torres threw the ball into the Yankees dugout to make it 4-2. Mitch Haniger singled to center to make it 4-3. Dylan Moore walked. Dominic Canzone hit a sacrifice fly to tie the game and Ty France singled on a ground ball to give the Mariners the lead. In all, Holmes allowed four earned runs and only recorded two outs without allowing any hard contact. His ERA is up to 1.74 on the season.

    • Sitting out versus lefty
Turang is not in the lineup for Monday's contest in Miami.

Advice: The Marlins are rolling with southpaw Ryan Weathers, so the left-handed hitting Turang will take a seat. Andruw Monasterio will occupy second base for the Brewers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:35 pm

    • Swipes third bag
Jimenez went 1-for-4 with a stolen base Sunday against the Yankees.

Advice: Jimenez had a hit in all three games of the team's weekend series, but none went for extra bases, and he also didn't record any RBI or runs. However, he did steal his third base of the season Sunday and his second in his last four games. It's unclear what has led to his sudden aggressiveness on the basepaths, as he had never attempted a stolen base across the first five seasons of his career. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:45 am

    • Has ankle injury
Steer is dealing with a sore ankle, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Steer was held out of the starting lineup Sunday as a result of the ankle but served as a pinch hitter. He walked for Will Benson with the bases loaded in the seventh inning and was removed for a pinch runner. Cincinnati manager David Bell said Steer should be back to 100 percent for Tuesday's series opener at home against the Padres. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:11 am

    • Takes loss in extra frame
Diaz (1-3) took the loss in 10 innings Sunday against the Dodgers, allowing an unearned run on one hit and a walk over an inning of work. He also struck out a batter.

Advice: Diaz struck out Jason Heyward in the ninth to send the game into an extra frame. He was an out away from getting through the 10th, but Shohei Ohtani laced a base hit to right that scored Heyward to end the game. Diaz has now given up five total runs on four hits over his last 2.1 innings, which has also come with two losses and a blown save. He's given up nine runs in 4.2 innings in May. Despite the struggles, manager David Bell has not made any public comments about a possible closer change, suggesting Diaz's job is save for now. He now owns a 7.02 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 17:13 K:BB in 16.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:50 am
    • Finds power in win
Pages went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's win over the Reds.

Advice: Pages crushed a two-run shot off Hunter Greene in the fourth inning to give the Dodgers a 2-0 lead. Pages has now tallied a hit in each of his last four games after a 10-game stretch from May 5 to May 15 during which he hit just .114 with a 42.5 percent strikeout rate. Despite the mini slump, Pages survived a flurry of roster changes made by the Dodgers over the weekend and was hitting fifth in Sunday's win, showing the confidence manager Dave Roberts has in him. He's now slashing .265/.301/.451 with five homers, 16 RBI, 18 runs and a 4:34 BB:K in 123 plate appearances. His .752 OPS is third among NL rookies with at least 100 plate appearances this season. • Takes another loss on homer
Duran (0-2) took the loss Sunday against the Guardians, giving up a game-ending home run in the bottom of the ninth inning. He allowed three runs on one hit and two walks with no strikeouts in two-thirds of an inning.

Advice: It was the second home run that Duran allowed in the late innings in a tied game in the three-game series during which the Twins were swept. Duran hadn't walked a batter in eight innings before Sunday, so this is probably a minor setback. The bigger worry for fantasy managers is that he's been used in the eighth inning against the heart of the opposing team's order several times since his return from the injured list, ceding the save chance to another arm (usually Griffin Jax) in the bullpen. While Duran as the top choice for saves, Twins manager Rocco Baldelli isn't afraid to use him earlier in games or in tied games on the road. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:25 pm
