    • Homers twice in win
Candelario went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in a 4-2 win over the Guardians on Wednesday.

Advice: Candelario hit a solo home run off Tanner Bibee in the first inning and followed it up with a three-run homer off Bibee to give the Reds a 4-2 lead in the sixth. He then added a single in the eighth. Candelario has been mashing in June, hitting .340 with five homers and 11 RBI through 11 contests. While Candelario's .243 season average still isn't great, he now has 11 home runs and 31 RBI in 248 plate appearances and is hitting in the heart of a hot Reds lineup. • Starling Marte goes deep as Mets crush Marlins
Starling Marte went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI on Wednesday night, helping to power the Mets to a 10-4 victory over the visiting Marlins.

Advice: The 35-year-old outfielder clobbered a mammoth 434-foot (106.4 mph EV) solo shot off of Braxton Garrett in the fifth inning that increased the Mets’ advantage to 6-4. He also drove in a run with a two-out RBI single in the eighth inning that capped off the scoring in the ballgame. Marte drew a walk as well, reaching base safely in three of his five plate appearances. He has been highly productive when healthy this season, slashing .288/.338/.437 with seven homers, 28 RBI and 10 swipes in his first 59 games. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:48 pm

    • Jeimer Candelario powers Reds past Guardians
Jeimer Candelario blasted a pair of homers and drove in four runs on Wednesday night, accounting for all of the Reds’ offense in a 4-2 victory over the Guardians.

Advice: The 30-year-old infielder opened the scoring in the contest with a 404-foot (104.1 mph EV) solo shot off of Tanner Bibee. He then put the Reds ahead to stay with a 343-foot (96.9 mph EV) three-run blast that chased Bibee from the game in the sixth inning. Candelario also singled in the ballgame, finishing the night 3-for-4. On the season, he’s now slashing .243/.306/.476 with 11 homers and 31 RBI. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:08 pm

    • Steven Kwan collects two hits in loss Wednesday
Steven Kwan went 2-for-5 with a pair of singles and a run scored on Wednesday as the Guardians fell to the Reds in Cincinnati.

Advice: Kwan got things started with a one-out single off of Nick Lodolo in the third inning, then came around to score the game’s tying run as David Fry worked a two-out walk with the bases loaded. The 26-year-old outfielder also looked like he had an RBI single in the fourth inning, but Brayan Rocchio was cut down at the plate. On the season, Kwan is now slashing a ridiculous .380/.445/.534 with four homers, 16 RBI and three stolen bases. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:07 pm

    • Ryan McMahon homers in second straight contest
Ryan McMahon went 2-for-3 with a solo homer on Wednesday in the Rockies’ loss to the Twins.

Advice: McMahon has snapped out of an extended tailspin at the dish with homers in back-to-back contests after taking Twins ace Pablo López deep in the fourth inning of this one for his 12th round-tripper of the season. The 29-year-old infielder has been a reliable power source, but his batting average has been all over the place as he oscillates between hot and cold stretches. Rotoworld Wednesday, 2:05 pm

    • Cleared to start Saturday
Flaherty (back) said he's feeling better after receiving a pain-killing injection Tuesday and has been cleared to start Saturday's game against the Astros in Houston, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Advice: Flaherty was scheduled to play catch Wednesday and will throw a bullpen session Thursday, but unless the Tigers indicate that his back is still aching coming out of either of those activities, he shouldn't face any restrictions while he slots back into the rotation this weekend. The right-hander has delivered excellent returns on the Tigers' one-year, $14 million investment on him this offseason, as he'll head into Saturday's outing with a 3-4 record, 3.22 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 94:10 K:BB across 72.2 innings through his first 12 starts with Detroit. • Jordan Westburg gets a day off on Wednesday
Jordan Westburg is not in the Orioles’ lineup against the Braves on Wednesday.

Advice: It’s a routine day off for the 25-year-old who has struggled to open the month of June, hitting .208/.224/.438 with two home runs, 11 strikeouts, and one walk in 11 games. Perhaps a day off will get him back on track. Jorge Mateo will move to second base with Ramon Urias at third base while Westburg is out. Rotoworld Wednesday, 12:11 pm

    • Getting rest Wednesday
Westburg is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: Westburg will retreat to the bench Wednesday for what appears to be a routine maintenance day after he had started in 11 consecutive games. His absence will open up a spot in the starting nine for Ramon Urias, who will get the nod at third base. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:57 am

    • Kyle Tucker (shin) won’t be ready Friday
Astros manager Joe Espada said Kyle Tucker won’t return from the IL when first eligible on Friday.

Advice: Espada said Tucker hasn’t been ruled out for the entire weekend, but Friday is off the table. Trey Cabbage has been picking up extra at-bats in place of Tucker, who fouled a ball off his shin last week. Rotoworld Wednesday, 11:20 am
