    • Drives in four
Contreras went 3-for-5 with a home run, a triple and four total RBI in Wednesday's 10-2 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Contreras got Milwaukee on the board with a three-run, opposite-field blast off Martin Perez in the third inning before tacking on a fourth RBI with a triple in the sixth, his first three-bagger this season. While Contreras had gone 18 games without a home run, he's now recorded at least one hit in nine straight contests, going 17-for-36 (.472) in that span. The 26-year-old catcher is now slashing a robust .359/.434/.553 with six homers, 34 RBI, 39 runs scored and three stolen bases through 196 plate appearances this season. • Elias Díaz (hand) remains out of Rockies’ lilneup
Elias Díaz (hand) was held out of the Rockies’ starting lineup for Wednesday’s showdown against the Padres.

Advice: The 33-year-old backstop was pulled from Tuesday’s contest due to left hand soreness and it sounds like it’s still bothering him on Wednesday so he’ll get another breather. Jacob Stallings will start in his place on Wednesday and will bat seventh against Michael King and the Padres. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:00 pm

    • William Contreras homers, Brewers demolish Pirates
William Contreras went 3-for-5 with a three-run homer and four RBI on Wednesday, leading the Brewers to a decisive 10-2 victory over the Pirates.

Advice: Contreras is rapidly evolving into one of the premier four-category contributors in the entire fantasy landscape as his latest three-hit performance, his sixth of the season, raises his batting average to an astronomical .359 mark through 43 contests. The 26-year-old backstop crushed a three-run homer off Pirates southpaw Martín Pérez in the third inning and also added an RBI triple a couple frames later as Milwaukee hit five homers in a blowout victory. He’s up to 39 runs scored and 34 homers already to go along with six homers and three steals as well. There isn’t much left to say at this point besides legitimately asking if he’s going to surpass Orioles superstar Adley Rutschman as the consensus top catcher in fantasy at some point in the future. • Sitting Wednesday with sore hand
Diaz exited Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Padres with left hand soreness and will be held out of the lineup for Wednesday's series finale, MLB.com reports. He struck out in his lone plate appearance on the day.

Advice: Diaz exited in the third inning with recurring hand soreness. He's not expected to miss additional time beyond Wednesday's contest, but Jacob Stallings should be behind the dish for Colorado's series finale Wednesday. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:43 am

    • Elias Díaz leaves game with left hand soreness
Elias Díaz was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Padres due to left hand soreness.

Advice: It doesn’t sound like a serious concern, but we’ll have to wait and see. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:50 pm

    • Contreras records three hits Monday
William Contreras went 3-for-5 with a run scored in the Brewers’ loss to the Pirates on Monday.

Advice: All three of Contreras’ hits were singles. He continues to hit as his average is up to .354 on the season. Contreras’ .426 BABIP this season is high even for him, a career .348 BABIP hitter. He’s a hitting machine right now, but this level of batting average shouldn’t be expected to continue for the rest of the season. Rotoworld Monday, 8:11 pm

    • Scores three times in win
Contreras went 1-for-3 with two walks and three runs scored in Friday's win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Contreras was the offensive catalyst for the Brewers on Friday night as he crossed the plate a team-high three times. He also collected his third multi-walk game of the season as part of a fantastic start to 2024. The 26-year-old catcher is slashing .340/.420/.520 with five homers, 30 RBI and 35 runs scored over 174 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:58 pm

    • William Contreras raises average to .340 in win
William Contreras went 3-for-4 with an RBI on Thursday in the Brewers’ lopsided win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Contreras capped off a strong three-hit effort with a run-scoring single in the seventh inning that raised his full-season batting average to a remarkable .340 (50-for-147) mark through 37 games. The 26-year-old burgeoning fantasy star won’t sustain a .402 BABIP for much longer, but he’s proven that he’s going to be right around the .300 mark from a batting average standpoint thanks to his consistent hard contact and line-drive rate. The key to making the leap into an even greater offensive force will be whether he starts to put the ball in the air with increased frequency. Rotoworld Thursday, 8:24 pm

    • Two-run blast in loss
Diaz went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Giants.

Advice: Diaz drove in Colorado's third run of the game with an infield single in the bottom of the fifth and later added a two-run shot in the ninth to bring his team back within two runs of the Giants, though his effort would fall short. It marked the catcher's third multi-hit game already this month, and he's now hit safely in five of his last six contests. The home run was only Diaz's third of the season, though he's now batting .348 in May with four RBI and three extra-base hits. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:25 am
