      Alex Bregman went 1-for-4 and smacked a run-scoring triple on Friday night as the Astros triumphed over the Tigers.

      Advice: Bregman finally got the scoring started in the ballgame with his RBI triple off of Tigers’ start left-hander Tarik Skubal in the sixth inning. He then trotted home on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Yordan Alvarez.       Emmanuel Clase pitched a perfect ninth against the Blue Jays for his 21st save Friday.

      Rockies placed C Elias Díaz on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to June 11, with a left calf strain.

      Advice: The 33-year-old backstop tried to take things on a day-to-day basis, but ultimately the Rockies thought that it would be better to sit him down for an extended period of time to allow him to fully heal.     • Lands on IL with calf strain
      The Rockies placed Diaz on the 10-day injured list Friday due to a left calf strain, retroactive to June 11.

      Advice: Diaz was removed in the bottom half of the first inning of Monday's game against the Twins after straining his left calf while running out of the batter's box to first base. He was held out for the rest of the series against Minnesota with the hope he would be available for the weekend series against Pittsburgh, but the 33-year-old catcher will be on the shelf for an extended period of time. Jacob Stallings got the start for Diaz over the last two games of the series against the Twins, and the former figures to get most of the starts behind home plate in the latter's absence, though Hunter Goodman will provide some depth and will start at catcher for Saturday's game, per Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com.       Henderson went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Thursday's 6-3 loss to Atlanta.

      Advice: Henderson has two steals over 12 games in June, and he's gone 16-for-48 (.333) with three home runs and six doubles in that span. The shortstop has hit safely in 14 of his last 15 contests as he continues to provide all-around excellence from the top of the Orioles' lineup.       Nola (8-3) took the loss to the Red Sox on Thursday, allowing eight runs on 11 hits and two walks with two strikeouts over 3.2 innings.

      Advice: Nola had two disastrous innings, allowing four runs in both the second and fourth. The fourth inning was especially rough, as he surrendered a three-run homer to Tyler O'Neill and was unable to complete the frame. According to Matt Gelb of The Athletic, the eight earned runs allowed by Nola tied a career high, and his season ERA climbed from 2.77 to 3.48. Despite the rise in ERA, Nola had previously rattled off five consecutive quality starts and owns a 1.08 WHIP and 78:24 K:BB in 14 outings.
