    • Eduardo Rodriguez getting follow-up MRI Saturday
Eduardo Rodriguez (lat) will undergo a follow-up MRI exam on Saturday.

Advice: Rodriguez has increased his throwing distance to 105 feet in recent days and if all goes well with Saturday’s check-up, he could be cleared to throw off of a mound for the first time. The Diamondbacks are taking every possible precaution here, but they’re hopeful that Rodriguez will be able to join the rotation at some point around the All-Star break. • Goes six innings in loss
Keller (8-4) was charged with the loss after he allowed four runs on eight hits with four strikeouts over six innings Thursday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Keller's four earned runs allowed tied a season high, but he still managed to extend a streak of seven straight starts of at least six innings. He gave up a homers to Paul Goldschmidt and Brendan Donovan, making it the first time this season he's allowed multiple long balls in a game. The 28-year-old has a 3.36 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 78:22 K:BB across 85.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Thursday, 3:15 pm

    • Mitch Keller gives up first homers in five weeks
Mitch Keller lost to the Cardinals after giving up four runs in six innings Thursday.

Advice: Keller had gone five straight starts without allowing a homer and hadn’t yielded more than one in any outing this season, but both Paul Goldschmidt and Brendan Donovan left the yard against him today. It’s the first time he’s given up more than two runs since Apr. 30. He’s now 8-4 with a 3.36 ERA. Rotoworld Thursday, 2:57 pm

    • Locks down 12th save
Doval earned the save Wednesday against the Astros, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Doval's held opponents scoreless in six of his last seven outings while improving to 12-for-14 in save opportunities this year. He lowered his ERA to 3.62 with a 1.54 WHIP and 35:19 K:BB across 27.1 innings. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:27 pm

    • Toughs out five scoreless frames
Bassitt gave up five hits and four walks over five scoreless innings in a no-decision Wednesday against the Brewers. He struck out five.

Advice: It didn't come easy for Bassitt, as he had to contend with the bases loaded in both the first and fourth innings, though he'd manage to escape unscathed. After a shaky start to the year, the 35-year-old Bassitt's been solid since the start of May, pitching to a 2.25 ERA over his last eight outings. Overall, he's 6-6 with a 3.56 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 75:32 K:BB across 78.1 innings this season. Bassitt is currently in line to face the Red Sox at home in his next outing. • Camilo Doval quiets Astros to collect 12th save
Camilo Doval tossed a perfect ninth inning on Wednesday against the Astros to collect his 12th save of the season.

Advice: Doval was tasked with protecting a two-run lead and needed only nine pitches (eight strikes) to slam the door. The hard-throwing 26-year-old stopper has reeled off four consecutive scoreless appearances since June 7 and converted 12 of his 14 save opportunities this season. He’s struggled a bit from a run-prevention standpoint, but remains one of the better closing options in the fantasy landscape. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:21 pm

    • Chris Bassitt settles for no-decision vs. Brewers
Chris Bassitt hurled five shutout innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Brewers.

Advice: Bassitt departed in line for the win after striking out five and scattering five hits and four walks over five frames, but Toronto’s bullpen was unable to hold on. The 35-year-old veteran righty has been on a roll over the last few weeks, allowing three earned runs or fewer in eight consecutive starts since May 1. He’ll bring a solid 3.56 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 75/32 K/BB ratio across 78 1/3 innings (14 starts) into a favorable matchup on Tuesday against the Red Sox in Toronto. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:56 pm

    • Throwing out to 105 feet
Rodriguez (shoulder) has extended his throwing program out to 105 feet, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Advice: Rodriguez will also continue to receive imaging on his left shoulder to check his progress. The left-hander is one month into the resumption of a throwing program after he had a setback in mid-April. There remains no timetable for Rodriguez's season debut. • Stuck with loss in quality start
Crawford (2-6) took the loss Tuesday, giving up four runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk over six innings as the Red Sox fell 4-1 to the Phillies. He struck out eight.

Advice: The right-hander got very little support from his offense or defense, but the difference in the game was the two solo shots Crawford served up to Kyle Schwarber. The quality start was Crawford's sixth of the season, but his first in over a month, while the eight Ks were a season high. Since beating the Giants on May 1, he's gone 0-5 in seven starts with a 5.40 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 39:12 K:BB in 40 innings. Crawford will try to get back in the win column in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against the Yankees. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:25 am
