    • Corbin Carroll doesn’t think injury is serious
      Corbin Carroll (ribs) told reporters after Sunday’s game that he doesn’t believe his rib injury is serious.

      Advice: He’ll undergo a precautionary MRI exam in Arizona on Monday before traveling to join the team in Washington. Carroll said he felt much better after Sunday’s game though, and is optimistic that he won’t have to miss any time. We’ll have to wait and see what Monday’s imaging yields.     • Lit up Sunday
      Wheeler (8-4) suffered the loss Sunday, allowing eight runs on nine hits and two walks over 4.1 innings against the Orioles. He struck out four.

      Advice: It was a long day for Wheeler, who allowed four homers after having previously allowed only six long balls over his first 14 starts this season. The eight earned runs allowed matched a career high for Wheeler, who hadn't given up that many in a start since 2018. Sunday's poor effort raised his ERA from 2.16 to 2.84. Wheeler had won his previous eight decisions prior to Sunday's loss, which dropped him to 8-4 on the season. He'll look to get back on track during his next start, currently slated to take place next weekend when the Diamondbacks come to Philly for a rematch of last season's NLCS.       Carroll (side) will undergo an MRI in Phoenix on Monday, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

      Advice: Carroll left Sunday's 12-5 win over the White Sox in the seventh inning with left side discomfort, and he will now require some additional imaging. The Diamondbacks will begin a three-game series on the road against the Nationals on Tuesday, and with Carroll staying in Arizona for the MRI on Monday, it's possible that he's forced to miss at least one contest.       Woo (forearm) is expected to start Wednesday on the road against the Guardians, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.

      Advice: Woo was forced to miss his last scheduled start Tuesday versus the White Sox due to right forearm discomfort, but after a clean MRI, he appears set to return to the mound in Cleveland.       Advice: The 24-year-old hurler got good news this week when an MRI on his injured forearm came back clean. He’s now ready to return to action and shouldn’t have any restrictions going forward.     • Corbin Carroll (side) heading for MRI exam
      Corbin Carroll will remain in Arizona to get an MRI exam after leaving Sunday’s game with rib cage discomfort.

      Advice: The 23-year-old outfielder sustained the injury while making a throw from the outfield during Sunday’s game. While the exact nature and severity of the injury are not yet known, the fact that he’s heading for an MRI exam isn’t encouraging. If it’s an oblique issue, a stint on the injured list seems like a near certainty. Fantasy managers should be sure to have a contingency plan in place for next week.       Rengifo suffered a left wrist contusion in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Giants, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports. He went 1-for-2 with a run scored prior to his departure.

      Advice: Rengifo took a line drive single from Matt Chapman off his left arm in the bottom of the fourth inning while playing third base, exiting the contest thereafter. The 27-year-old underwent X-rays, which showed just a contusion, and he said that he expects to play Monday against the Brewers. Rengifo can be considered day-to-day for the time being.       Luis Rengifo (wrist) told reporters after Sunday’s game that he expects to play on Monday.

      Advice: Rengifo was pulled from Sunday’s game after being drilled in the wrist by a ball off the bat of Matt Chapman. He did undergo precautionary X-rays that ruled out any fractures though and was diagnosed with a left wrist contusion.
