      Advice: A flyout allowed the initial runner to advance to third base, but Helsley struck out the next two batters to close this game. It was encouraging to see the 29-year-old have a dominant outing after allowing four runs over his previous three appearances. He's earned a save in eight straight outings despite his recent shakiness, and he still has a 2.42 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 27:6 K:BB over 26 innings while converting 19 of 20 save chances this season.       Ryan Helsley closed out the Phillies in the 10th inning on Sunday night, working a scoreless frame to protect a one-run advantage.

      Advice: The 29-year-old right-hander had to do some work, as Bryce Harper advanced to third base on a fly ball to start the inning, but Helsley battled back to strike out Cristian Pache and Nick Castellanos to leave the tying run stranded there.       Kopech (1-5) allowed one run (none earned) on one hit and one walk while striking out two to take the loss Saturday against the Brewers.

      Advice: Kopech entered the game in the 10th inning with the game tied at three. He intentionally walked the first batter he faced to put a pair of runners on base before throwing a wild pitch and allowing an infield single to take the loss. Kopech has had an inconsistent season, though he did turn in scoreless efforts in eight of his nine appearances in May.       Lively (5-2) earned the win against the Nationals on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk with four strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

      Advice: Lively fired three scoreless frames before allowing two runs in the fourth inning, and he left the game just shy of a quality start after allowing a two-out single to Lane Thomas in the sixth. This was Lively's fourth win in as many games, and he has not allowed more than three runs in any of his nine starts this season.     • Michael Kopech allows unearned run in loss to MIL
      Michael Kopech allowed an unearned run while striking out two and picking up a loss Saturday to the Brewers.

      Advice: The run doesn’t get charged to Kopech because it was the “zombie runner” that was placed on second base to begin the bottom of the 10th.     • Ben Lively earns fifth win Saturday vs. Nats
      Ben Lively allowed two runs with four strikeouts across 5 2/3 innings in a win over the Nationals on Saturday.

      Advice: Lively worked through three scoreless innings before the Nationals brought two runs in to score in the fourth. After walking a batter with one out, Tyler Freeman misplayed a routine fly ball to put runners on second and third with one out instead of two outs and a runner on first. A groundout and a base hit would bring the two runs in to score. Lively would work a clean fifth and gave up a base hit with two outs in the sixth. That would end his day at 86 pitches -- 62 for strikes. He struck out four. The 32-year-old right-hander will take a 2.84 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and a 47/15 K/BB ratio across 50 2/3 innings into a start against the Marlins in Miami on Friday. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:46 pm

    • Secures 17th save
      Suarez picked up the save Friday against Kansas City. He pitched one-third of an inning with no strikeouts, allowing no runs on one hit.

      Advice: Suarez entered to collect the last out in a bases-loaded jam with a five-run lead. After yielding a two-RBI single to Freddy Fermin, the San Diego closer induced a Nelson Velazquez flyout to secure the win. Suarez is now tied with Emmanuel Clase for second in the majors with 17 saves, trailing Ryan Helsley by one. The 33-year-old righty has been brilliant as the Padres closer this year, firing a 0.72 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 24:5 K:BB over 25 innings. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:12 pm
       
    • Robert Suárez gets one-out save against Royals
      Robert Suárez retired one of the two batters he faced for a save Friday against the Royals.

      Advice: The Padres were up 11-3 heading to the bottom of the ninth, but Stephen Kolek gave up hits to six of the eight batters he faced. That created a save situation for Suárez with the bases loaded in an 11-6 game. Suárez gave up a two-run single to the first batter he faced and then retired Nelson Velázquez for his 17th and easiest save of the year. Rotoworld Friday, 9:00 pm

      Kimbrel earned the save in a 3-1 win over the Rays on Friday, striking out two in a perfect ninth inning.

      Advice: Kimbrel has now gone 7.2 innings without allowing a hit, recording 10 strikeouts in that span while improving to 13-for-16 in save chances this year. He's lowered his ERA to 3.00 with a 0.95 WHIP and 31:9 K:BB across 21 innings. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:31 pm
