      X-rays on Rutschman's right hand came back negative, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports, but the catcher is not in Friday's lineup against the Rangers.

      Advice: Rutschman's throwing hand was hit by a foul tip early in Thursday's game versus the Rangers, although he finished the contest and even homered.       Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters Friday that X-rays on Adley Rutschman’s right hand came back negative for any fractures.

      Advice: The 26-year-old backstop injured his hand when he was hit by a foul tip during Thursday’s victory over the Rangers. Rutschman admitted to being a bit sore on Friday but said that he felt much better overall.       Advice: It's the third straight day on the bench for Candelario, who has been dealing with hamstring tendinitis since last week. There are no indications to this point that he might require a trip to the 10-day injured list, but the Reds will be forced to consider a move if he remains sidelined much longer.       Jeimer Candelario (knee) was held out of the Reds’ starting lineup once again for Friday night’s tilt against the Cardinals.

      Advice: It’s the third straight game that the 30-year-old slugger has missed due to the knee issue. There haven’t been any indications yet that the injury will require a trip to the injured list, but if it lingers through the weekend the Reds may be forced to make a move.       De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a run scored and three RBI in Thursday's win over the Phillies.

      Advice: His bases-loaded two-bagger in the seventh inning tied the game at 3-3, sparking a comeback victory. Over the last 10 games, De La Cruz is batting .262 (11-for-42) with three doubles, three homers, five runs and nine RBI.       Lively (7-4) took the loss against the Royals on Thursday, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk over six innings while striking out five.

      Advice: Lively was sharp for most of the contest and didn't allow a runner to reach second base until the fifth inning, when Nick Loftin walked and then advanced on a steal. Unfortunately for Lively, his luck would run out in the following frame after he surrendered back-to-back triples, eventually leading to two runs coming home for Kansas City. The outing marked Lively's first quality start this month, but he's allowed two or fewer runs in six of his last seven outings.       Abbott (7-6) picked up the win over the Cardinals on Thursday, allowing two runs on two hits and six walks over five innings while striking out two.

      Advice: The only runs charged to Abbott on the night came on a two-run homer from Nolan Arenado in the bottom of the third, as the lefty managed to pitch his way out of trouble the rest of the time despite issuing a season-high six free passes. Abbott has now won four of his last five starts, though he finishes the month of June with 15 walks, compared to just six in May.       Andrew Abbott allowed two runs in five innings and got the win in the Reds’ 11-4 victory over the Cardinals on Thursday.



      Advice: Abbott gave up two hits, walked six and struck out two. Abbott wasn’t sharp as the six walks were a season-high, but the Reds scored 10 runs while he was in the game and he was able to grind out five innings to earn his seventh win of the season. Abbott has won four of his last five starts and has a 3.41 ERA on the year. The 25-year-old left-hander is set to face the Yankees on the road next week.
