    • Ha-Seong Kim goes deep in victory over Brewers
Ha-Seong Kim crushed his 10th home run of the season as the Padres triumphed over the Brewers on Saturday evening in San Diego.

Advice: Kim tagged rookie right-hander Carlos Rodriguez for his two-out, 374-foot (97.5 mph EV) solo shot in the fourth inning — extending the Padres’ advantage to 4-0. Kim also singled and rode home on Kyle Higashioka’s two-run blast in the seventh inning, finishing the night 2-for-3. For the season, the slick-fielding 28-year-old is now hitting .220/.331/.390 with 10 long balls, 36 RBI and 15 stolen bases. Rotoworld 58 minutes ago

    • Jansen picks up 14th save against Reds Saturday
Kenley Jansen tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Reds on Saturday.

Advice: Jansen’s save was his 14th of the season. It was his fifth save in the month of June. After another scoreless inning, Jansen’s ERA is down to 2.49 on the season. Rotoworld Today, 4:27 pm
    • Daulton Varsho (back) will not play on Sunday
Blue Jays’ manager John Schneider told reporters after Saturday’s game that Daulton Varsho has been dealing with some tightness in his lower back and will be held out of the team’s starting lineup on Sunday.

Advice: The 27-year-old played the entire game on Saturday but reported to his manager afterwards that his back had tightened up on him. It doesn’t sound like anything that should lead to any sort of extended absence and there’s even a possibility that Varsho could be available to pinch-hit off the bench on Sunday. He should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Today, 4:18 pm

    • Brandon Lowe suffers broken pinkie toe on Saturday
Brandon Lowe suffered a broken right pinkie toe when he was hit by a pitch during Saturday’s game against the Pirates.

Advice: Fortunately, it doesn’t sound like Lowe should require a trip to the injured list. There’s nothing that you can really do about a broken toe, it’s more of a pain tolerance thing than anything. Expect him to miss a game or two — and perhaps be less active on the basepaths — but it shouldn’t lead to an extended absence for the 29-year-old slugger. Rotoworld Today, 4:07 pm

    • Has back soreness, off Sunday
Varsho experienced back tightness late in Saturday's game against the Guardians and will be given the day off for Sunday's series finale, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Advice: Varsho grounded out in the ninth inning but never made it out of the batters box, immediately grabbing at his lower back after making contact. Though the injury doesn't seem of much concern, Varsho will be held out of Sunday's contest. Varsho went 0-for-4 with a strikeout during Saturday's 6-3 loss. Rotowire.com Today, 4:06 pm

    • Wheeler goes seven, strikes out eight in win
Zack Wheeler allowed one run in seven innings and got the win in the Phillies’ 12-1 victory over the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: Wheeler gave up two hits, walked none and struck out eight. The win was his ninth on the year. It was a big time bounce back from Wheeler, who had allowed eight runs to the Orioles in his last start. He looked like his normal self while dominating the Diamondbacks on Saturday. Wheeler’s ERA is now 2.73 on the season. The 34-year-old right-hander is set to face the Marlins at home next weekend.

    • Suffers broken toe
Lowe suffered a broken pinky toe during Saturday's game against the Pirates, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: Lowe was hit by a pitch in the first inning of the contest and was removed in the sixth frame with what was initially deemed a right foot contusion. However, further evaluation showed that Lowe actually sustained a broken toe. Per Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times, Lowe isn't expected to require an IL stint at this point. • Brandon Lowe leaves game with foot contusion
Brandon Lowe was pulled from Saturday’s battle against the Pirates with a right foot contusion.

Advice: It’s unclear exactly when the injury occurred, but Lowe was lifted from Saturday’s game just before his at-bat in the fifth inning. He should be considered day-to-day, but given his extensive injury history, you just never know how much time Lowe will need before he’s able to return to the lineup. Rotoworld Today, 3:02 pm

    • Has bruised right foot
Lowe (foot) was removed from Saturday's game against the Pirates with a right foot contusion, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: Isaac Paredes came in for Lowe in the sixth inning after Lowe sustained a right foot injury stemming from a first-inning hit-by-pitch. While the injury seems relatively minor, Lowe should continue to be evaluated ahead of Sunday's series finale. Rotowire.com Today, 2:39 pm
