    • Dealt third loss
Burnes (8-3) allowed four runs on five hits and struck out five without walking a batter over seven innings, taking the loss Saturday versus the Astros.

Advice: Burnes had a solid outing, but a two-run home run by Yordan Alvarez and a solo shot by Chas McCormick were too much for the Orioles to overcome. This was the first time all year Burnes has given up multiple homers in a start -- he's yielded just 10 long balls through 16 starts. While this wasn't his best work, he's still at an excellent 2.35 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 94:24 K:BB through 99.2 innings. Burnes is projected to make his next start at home versus the Rangers. • De La Cruz has three hits, home run against Boston
Elly De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with a solo home run against the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: De La Cruz’ home run was his 13th. He blasted a solo shot off Red Sox starter Nick Pivetta in the third inning. On the bases, he was held without a stolen base, though it wasn’t for lack of trying. De La Cruz was both caught stealing and picked off. He remains stuck on 37 stolen bases entering play Sunday. • Carlos Correa picks up three knocks in victory
Carlos Correa went 3-for-6 with an RBI and run scored in a blowout win over the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Correa had three of the Twins’ 16 hits on a day where Minnesota dominated from start to finish. The 29-year-old has been spectacular in the month of June, and this makes six games with at least three hits in that period. A .308/.369/.498 slash is fantastic, but Correa has somehow been considerably better as of late than that line suggests. Rotoworld Today, 4:02 pm

    • Corbin Burnes gives up two homers in loss to Astros
Corbin Burnes gave up four runs over seven innings with five strikeouts in a loss to the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Burnes gave up two homers in the loss, including a two-run homer by Yordan Alvarez. Outside of the roundtrippers the 29-year-old was mostly solid, but he was outdueled by Ronel Blanco as Baltimore dropped their second consecutive game in the three-game set. Burnes is back on the bump Thursday against the Rangers, assuming Baltimore doesn’t change the rotation order. Rotoworld Today, 3:29 pm
    • Dealing with left forearm soreness
Arenado was removed from Friday's game against the Giants with left forearm discomfort, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Advice: Arenado was hit in the right arm by a pitch Wednesday but seems to be battling through some pain in his opposite forearm. Considering the Cardinals were ahead by five runs when Arenado was removed, it very well could be precautionary. Regardless, his status should be monitored ahead of Sunday's series finale. • Nolan Arenado leaves game with forearm discomfort
Nolan Arenado was removed from Saturday’s ballgame against the Giants due to left forearm discomfort.

Advice: It’s not the same arm that Arenado had an issue with earlier in the week when he was hit by a pitch, so now he’s dealing with ailments in both arms. As of now, it sounds like a day-to-day type of situation, but it’s something that fantasy managers should keep an eye on over the next few days. Rotoworld Today, 1:33 pm

    • Lands on IL
The Diamondbacks placed Moreno on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a sprained left thumb, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: Moreno's X-rays came back negative after he exited Friday's game due to his injured thumb, but the damage seems to still be severe enough to warrant keeping him out for the next 10 days. While he recovers, Tucker Barnhart will take over as Arizona's primary catcher and Jose Herrera will come up from Triple-A Reno to provide additional depth at catcher. • Diamondbacks put Gabriel Moreno (thumb) on IL
Diamondbacks placed C Gabriel Moreno on the 10-day injured list with a left thumb sprain.

Advice: Arizona has clearly opted not to take any chances here and will shut Moreno down for at least the next couple days after he was lifted from Friday’s game against the Phillies with a left thumb sprain. The 24-year-old backstop doesn’t appear to be facing a lengthy absence since X-rays came back negative for any fractures, but the Diamondbacks can’t really afford to play shorthanded at catcher. • Back in lineup
Arenado (elbow) is starting at third base and batting fifth Saturday against the Giants, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Advice: Arenado suffered a bruised elbow after getting hit by a pitch during Wednesday's contest and said after the game that his goal was to return Saturday. After a few days of rest, the 33-year-old third baseman will achieve his goal and return to face the Giants with former teammate Jordan Hicks on the mound. Arenado has slashed .270/.333/.365 with six RBI across 72 plate appearances since the beginning of June. Rotowire.com Today, 9:36 am
