    • Masataka Yoshida plates two in win over Marlins
Masataka Yoshida went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI on Wednesday, powering the sizzling-hot Red Sox to a 7-2 blowout win over the Marlins.

Advice: Yoshida followed up a two-hit performance during Tuesday’s series opener at loanDepot park with a go-ahead run-scoring single in the third inning before tacking on a pivotal insurance run with a seventh-inning ground out. He also walked and scored a run in the ninth inning. The 30-year-old designated hitter, who missed a significant portion of the first half due to a thumb injury, has been scorching-hot at the dish recently, batting .440 (11-for-25) with four RBI over his last seven games. • Could take next recovery step soon
Ruiz (wrist), who has resumed swinging a bat, could begin running the bases at some point next week, MLB.com reports.

Advice: The speedy outfielder continues to make incremental progress in his recovery from a left wrist strain, and baserunning would appear to be one of the final precursors to a rehab assignment. Given Ruiz also is still likely to engage in some live batting practice before heading to the minors for a few games, he's unlikely to be ready for activation until after the All-Star break. • Belts homer No. 10
Correa went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: His eighth-inning blast deep to left-center field off Beau Brieske capped the scoring on the night. Correa has hit safely in five straight games, and since June 6 the veteran shortstop has a blistering .418/.476/.659 slash line over 103 plate appearances with six of his 10 homers on the year and 19 of his 41 RBI. • Notches 15th save
Doval struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his 15th save of the season in a 5-3 win over Atlanta.

Advice: The 26-year-old right-hander was in peak form, whiffing Adam Duvall with a 100.6 mph cutter to end the game. Doval blew his last save chance Friday, though, and consistency has been an issue for him all year -- through 33.2 innings, he's posted a 4.28 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 44:22 K:BB, a significant step backward from his ratios the prior two seasons. • Swats 15th home run
De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run, a triple and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Yankees.

Advice: De La Cruz took Caleb Ferguson yard in the fifth inning, extending the Reds' advantage to 5-0. The speedster also legged out his sixth triple of the season and third in the last five games. De La Cruz has generated multiple hits in seven of his last 10 games, batting .349 with a pair of homers, eight runs and three steals over that span. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:50 pm

    • Elly De La Cruz homers in win over Yankees
Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs in a win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

Advice: The home run was a 425-foot shot for his 15th home run of the season. Elly also struck out twice and is hitting just .226 over his last 40 games while posting a strikeout rate of over 31 percent; however, his athleticism and raw power are so elite that he continues to produce fantasy goodness. If he ever made the plate discipline gains to make more consistent contact, he could be the best player in fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:31 pm

    • Doval picks up 15th save in win over Braves
Camilo Doval pitched a perfect ninth inning while striking out two in Tuesday’s win over the Braves.

Advice: Doval now has 14 saves on the season and has allowed just one run since his four-run implosion against the Angels back in mid-June. The veteran closer continues to be a reliable closer out of the bullpen, and he has hopefully put a tough June behind him. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:29 pm
    • Returning to mound Thursday
Burnes will start Thursday's series finale against the Mariners on the road, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Advice: Burnes was activated from the paternity list Monday after missing three games while with his expanding family, welcoming a pair of twins with his wife. With Dean Kremer (triceps) set to return from the 15-day injured list Wednesday, Burnes will make his return to the mound Thursday. The right-hander produced a 2.12 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with 28 strikeouts over 34 innings in five starts in June. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 4:56 pm

    • D-backs activate Gabriel Moreno for Tuesday return
Diamondbacks activated C Gabriel Moreno from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Moreno is officially back for Tuesday’s series opener against the division-rival Dodgers following a nearly two-week absence due to a left thumb sprain. Rotoworld Tuesday, 3:38 pm
