• Willy Adames goes deep in win over Cubs
Willy Adames went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, two runs scored, and a walk in the Brewers 10-6 win over the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: Adames brought a run in to score with a base hit in the third, then drew walk in the fifth. He later took Kyle Hendricks deep for a two-run blast in the seventh inning. It was his second home run in three games with extending his hit streak to eight. Playing for a new contract this winter, the 28-year-old shortstop is up to nine homers while slashing .255/.328/.454 with 39 RBI and eight steals across 241 plate appearances. • Cut by Houston
The Astros released Diaz on Monday.

Advice: Diaz elected free agency after being DFA'd by the Astros in April, but he quickly returned to the team on a minor-league deal. The 29-year-old has since put up a 9.64 ERA in 14 innings at Triple-A Sugar Land, so Houston will elect to part ways with the right-handed reliever. Diaz's minor-league resume hasn't exactly been outstanding, but his 0.96 big-league ERA in 18.2 innings since 2022 may be enough to attract another minor-league deal from a different organization. • Christian Yelich homers, drives in three Wednesday
Christian Yelich went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, three RBI, and two runs scored on Wednesday against the Cubs.

Advice: After going hitless in his last two games, Yelich put the Brewers on the board in the first inning with a two-run blast off Shota Imanaga. It was the first extra-base hit Imanaga has allowed to a left-handed batter. Yelich later knocked a base hit in the third and scored on a double by Gary Sánchez. The 29-year-old outfielder is hitting an outstanding .306/.390/.546 with six homers, 22 RBI, and seven steals across 124 plate appearances. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

  • Blake Perkins homers, doubles in victory
Blake Perkins went 2-for-4 with a home run, double, and two RBI on Wednesday against the Cubs.

Advice: After knocking a double in the second inning, Perkins extended the Brewers lead with a two-run homer off Shota Imanaga in the third. The 27-year-old outfielder is hitting .232/.318/.361 with five homers, 25 runs scored, and five steals across 176 plate appearances. Perkins, a switch hitter, has fared much better against right-handed pitching, with all five home runs coming off righties. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

  • Ian Happ goes yard in loss to Brewers
Ian Happ went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI against the Brewers on Wednesday.

Advice: Happ took Bryse Wilson deep to right field for a solo homer in the second inning to put the Cubs on the board. He then led off the fourth with a base hit and scored on a groundout before bringing a run in with a sacrifice fly in the ninth. The 29-year-old outfielder is slashing .226/.329/.376 with five homers, 28 runs scored, and two steals across 216 plate appearances. His underlying stats have all nearly matched his 2023 season with the exception of his strikeout rate, which is up to 28 percent after posting a 22 percent mark last season. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

  • Gunnar Henderson’s grand slam powers Orioles
Gunnar Henderson blasted a grand slam on Wednesday, powering the Orioles to a 6-1 victory over the visiting Red Sox.

Advice: The 22-year-old superstar changed the entire complexion of the ballgame in the second inning as he crushed a 1-0 cutter from Kutter Crawford for a 422-foot (109.2 mph EV) grand slam that gave the Orioles a 5-1 lead. It would be his only hit in four at-bats on the night, but was more than enough to propel his team to victory. Henderson is playing like he has his sights set on the American League MVP award this season — slashing .258/.354/.584 with 18 homers and 41 RBI. Rotoworld 16 minutes ago

  • Bryse Wilson gives up four runs in no-decision
Bryse Wilson allowed four runs -- two earned -- with one strikeout over four innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: Wilson worked a clean first inning, then gave up a solo homer to Ian Happ in the second. Happ would reach base once again in the fourth and advanced to third on a balk before a groundout brought him in to score the second run. A error and a base hit to start the fifth would chase Wilson from the game with two runners on and no outs at 82 pitches. While both inherited runners would score, on two runs on the day were earned. The 26-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 3.00 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and a 39/19 K/BB ratio across 48 innings. He’s set to take on the Phillies in Philadelphia on Monday. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago

  • Seth Lugo with another quality start, victory
Seth Lugo stayed on track allowing just one earned run across six innings in a 6-1 win over the Twins. He struck out five and walked three.

Advice: Lugo continued his stellar season earning his eighth win. He only induced nine whiffs and the Twins made plenty of hard contact with nine hard-hit balls, but Lugo once again managed to limit damage. He continues to mix eight pitches and saw his ERA drop to 1.72 in what’s been one of the biggest surprises of the young season. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago

  • Shota Imanaga hit for seven runs against Brewers
Shota Imanaga allowed seven runs with one strikeout over 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Brewers on Wednesday.

Advice: Coming off ten days of rest, Imanaga had his worst outing of the year on Wednesday, giving up more earned runs than he had all season. He came into this one with just five extra-base hits allowed and the Brewers matched that with five off Imanaga. Christian Yelich got the scoring started with a two-run blast in the first inning. Five hits, including a two-run homer by Blake Perkins, would bring five more runs in to score in the third. Imanaga would pitch into the fifth, leaving with one out and one runner on at 81 pitches. Even after the blowup outing, the 30-year-old left-hander holds an outstanding 1.86 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and a 59/10 K/BB ratio across 58 innings. He’ll look to put this one behind him and get back on track against the White Sox at Wrigley Field on Tuesday. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago
