• Dazzles in no-decision
Miller allowed two hits and two walks while striking out eight over seven scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the White Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Miller rebounded from his worst start of the year by producing his third scoreless outing in 2024. Two of those scoreless efforts have come over his three starts in June. The 25-year-old has a 3.48 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 80:24 K:BB over 82.2 innings through 14 starts this season as he continues to impress as part of the Mariners' strong rotation. Miller's next start is projected to be a challenging road outing in Cleveland. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:43 pm

  • Bryce Miller tosses seven scoreless vs. White Sox
Bryce Miller tossed seven shutout innings with eight strikeouts in a no-decision against the White Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Miller was brilliant on Wednesday, holding the White Sox scoreless over seven frames. He scattered two hits and two walks while striking out eight batters on 12 whiffs, tossing 64-of-92 pitches for strikes. Miller unfortunately lost the win when the bullpen blew the one-run lead in the ninth. The 25-year-old right-hander has posted a solid 3.48 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and an 80/24 K/BB ratio across 82 2/3 innings. He’ll take on the Guardians in Cleveland on Tuesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:21 pm

  • Nico Hoerner swipes two bases in return to lineup
Nico Hoerner went 1-for-4 with two steals Wednesday against the Rays in his return to the Cubs lineup.

Advice: Hoerner hadn’t started since suffering a hairline fracture in his hand Thursday. His two steals tonight gave him nine for the year, eight of which have come since May 1. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:13 pm

  • Jorge Polanco nearing rehab assignment
Jorge Polanco (hamstring) is nearing a minor league rehab assignment.

Advice: The 30-year-old infielder is in the midst of his second stint on the injured list due to a balky right hamstring. He has bene shelved since May 26 this time around, so he’s going to need at least a few games at Triple-A Tacoma before he’s ready to rejoin the Mariners. Ryan Bliss will continue to function as the team’s primary second baseman in the meantime. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:21 pm

  • Woo! MRI on right-hander’s forearm returns clean
Mariners’ manager Scott Servais told reporters on Wednesday that the MRI on the forearm of injured right-hander Bryan Woo came back clean.

Advice: Too often in situations like these, a forearm strain leads to instability in the elbow, then the MRI reveals structural damage and another talented hurler heads for Tommy John surgery. It’s very refreshing to hear in this case that Woo won’t even require a trip to the injured list and could return to the Mariners’ rotation as early as next week. The 24-year-old hurler has been terrific this season, registering a 1.07 ERA, 0.54 WHIP and a 24/2 K/BB ratio over 33 2/3 innings in his first six starts. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:14 pm

  • MRI comes back clean
Mariners general manager Justin Hollander said Wednesday that the MRI on Woo's arm "was perfectly clean," and the right-hander could be reinserted into the rotation as early as next week, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The 24-year-old was scratched ahead of his scheduled start Tuesday against the White Sox due to what the team labeled as a "right forearm issue," but he doesn't appear to be dealing with anything too serious. It's unclear when exactly Woo will make his next start, though it seems the Mariners will attempt to avoid putting him on the injured list. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:00 pm

  • Back in action Wednesday
Hoerner (hand) will start at second base and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Rays.

Advice: Though Hoerner was diagnosed with a small fracture in his right hand over the weekend, he avoided a stint on the injured list and will make his return to the lineup after missing only four starts. Before his recent absence, Hoerner had gone 0-for-8 over his last three starts, and it may take a bit for him to regain full strength in his hand and recapture the exit velocities he had provided prior to suffering the injury. Fantasy managers in leagues with daily lineup moves may be best served leaving Hoerner on the bench until he resumes producing at a level that warrants keeping him active. • Goes deep in win
Naylor went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two additional RBI in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: Naylor had an RBI single and drove in another run with a fielder's choice in the contest. While his bat is still quiet in June -- he's gone 5-for-32 (.156) over eight games -- he's still driven in eight RBI this month. Overall, the first baseman is slashing .224/.307/.483 with 17 homers, 50 RBI, 36 runs scored and three stolen bases through 62 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:46 am

  • Vlad Jr. is getting a day off on Wednesday
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is not in the Blue Jays’ starting lineup on Wednesday against the Brewers.

Advice: It’s just a routine rest day for Guerrero, who has seen his batting average skyrocket over the last few weeks with plenty of hard contact. The home runs have not been there, and might not ever come back at the level we saw in the past given his launch angles, but there’s nothing to worry about here. Spencer Horwitz will lead off and play first base on Wednesday with Isiah Kiner-Falefa at second base and Ernie Clement starting at third. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:22 am
